Gator BBQ

This BBQ is amazing! We got the special with ribs and pulled pork and both were excellent! But honestly, the “cheesy taters” and the Mac and cheese stole the show for us. You get a ton of food for the price and we look forward to eating our leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

*Serious food safety concern and customer service lacking* I dined at Gator's BBQ at the PNE Vancouver. Long story short, I received the wrong order and when I brought it back to the counter the Gator's staff member took back the order I returned, made us a new one, and then proceeded to give the other person the SAME order we had just returned. Once we left Gator's, I asked my partner if he saw what I saw and he confirmed that he did. Even more troubling was that it was during COVID and my partner and I had sampled the food before we realized it was the wrong order!! Also, the staff member who took the order back didn't even acknowledge me with words and the person at the Grill told me to make good life choices. Not sure what was intended by that... I reported this all to Gator's using their online feedback form. The person said they did an investigation and spoke to staff but didn't find anything supporting or refuting what I saw and that they re-addressed our no return policy with each staff member (which I thanked them for). I know what I saw and I will not be going back to Gator's. I have no reason to make this up and this is the first negative review of an establishment that I have written. After some back and forth emails, the person I provided the feedback to asked how she can make it right for me. I then used their opening to ask for a refund of my meal, which I thought was reasonable considering I was displeased with my experience. I was then told no refund because I did receive my correct order and if I was concerned I should have asked for a refund before leaving their establishment. Seriously?! Why ask me how to make it right then. You've lost a customer. It will be Prairie's BBQ for me from now on.

Overall food was good and the portions were generous, the chicken we really liked, the side ribs were a bit tough but had but great flavor. We got the gator taters which were awesome! and the mac and cheese was spot on. Definitely a go to BBQ joint in the area. Only real issue was with the buns, we ordered the Kaiser rolls and we got a regular hot dog bun cut up into 4 tiny pieces....... so that was disappointing, I've seen this topic come up in a handful of reviews and also through friends. Glad we didn't order the pulled pork as we would have expected the buns to be adequate to make pulled pork sandwiches. If I could make a recommendation it would be to use thick cut Texas toast like they do at many places in the south instead of tiny hot dog or hamburger buns, it would compliment the meal a lot better! it would also be helpful to have some pictures and descriptions of the items they have available especially when ordering online. Looking forward to trying the brisket and pulled pork next. Overall a solid place for some BBQ.

The food here is great and the service is great. The only thing I reccomend for the owner is change your website pricing so that customers are not in for surprise when picking up there order, I understand the price increase but others may not be so understanding.

AWESOME. Gator done take out for our party and I cannot complain about anything. On line ordering was very simple and stress free. Generous portions and reasonably priced. Delicious! I will be using GATOR again when I have a large gathering. Thank you Gator BBQ for making our party a success??

We have been to Gator BBQ because we wanted to have a pulled pork sandwich for lunch during our test drive with the new MB A Class. The owner of Gator BBQ was talking with us and showed us his smoker grill and gave use some examples of his beef brisket and some pulled pork out of his smoker. Such a great experience and I have to say, thank you so much. If I will ever be around here again - I will visit Gator BBQ again.

A great selection of BBQ treats I have now tried almost everything on the menu at some point. I will say my top 3 faves are the BBQ brisket, The Cornbread Muffin and most surprising is the pulled pork sandwich with fried onions and BBQ sauce on the hero sub bun.

Awesome place if you have a craving for smoked food! Highly recommended mega meal so you get to try everything. Brisket was so tender and moist. Ribs were fall of the bone. Sides are also really good. Corn bread and Mac n cheese were the bomb! Definitely will ride out there again! Owner was cool too!
