Reasonably priced food, but the sandwich was so dry! It needed more mayo and a little mustard and some lettuce. I'll never order a sandwich here again. The carrot cake was VERY heavy and extremely dry. I had two bites and put the rest in the garbage. I will come back for coffee.

There were reasonable options for lunch. There were sandwiches and wraps and simple desserts and snacks. Coffee was good. But the best part was to sit outside in the fresh air on a sunny day, which has been rare in Vancouver. We enjoyed our outing very much

Located at at the VanDusen Botanical Garden's Visitor Center, The Truffles is more good for drinking than eating. You have to order in advance before sitting. If weather is nice, you can sit in patio with a picturesque view of the garden and its lake. ⛳️ As its part of the whole VanDusen Garden, the ceiling and decoration is contingent and eye-catching. ☕️ The coffee is average, yet good to have especially with the beautiful scenery. By the way, you might see one or some ducks ? under your feet! They warn to not feed birds, but some ducks come inside and eat bread and cookie crumbs on he floor and then leave!

It was our first visit to the cafe and were juggling between Basket and High Tea for afternoon lunch today and finally opted for high tea based on suggestion from Jagdish at the front desk. We made a request for a vegetarian sandwich as it's not a standard menu item and she took the request. I must say that it's the finest vegetarian sandwich we have ever had with fine choice of ingredients such as Egg plant, tomatoes, mushroom, zucchini, cheese and sauce. It literally melted in our mouth! The savouries and croissant were equally delicious. Additionally, her outgoing customer service and the ability to seek feedback on how the food is an icing on the cake. We were ecstatic about the food, happy with the price tag and delighted with the above and beyond customer service offered by her. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone who visits Vancouver.
