I am very disappointed in futurpreneur Canada, when I applied, I was emailed or called regularly, giving the impression that this program is here for entrepreneurs and they care. Once I signed the loan papers and started my payments, all I hear from futurpreneur is "where's my money. It's a pandemic man, give it a chill. The "mentor" they promised was a joke, no one's even called or emailed to check in on me and my "mentor". I ended it a month in, supposed to be two years of mentorship but I couldn't take having to meet with that person for two years. You can't even check on your loan balance without having to ask someone to send it to you. Next time I'll go to my bank for a loan, they're nice, they know me and they understand that when there's a pandemic they offer as much help as they can. Futurpreneur is a program that claims to have alllll the bells and whistles for young Canadian entrepreneurs, don't waste your time, just got to your bank for a loan, unless you like paying extra for bells and whistles that you'll never use more than once, then go right ahead. Very dissatisfied with this service.

Largely a waste of time. I worked with an individual based out of Ontario for several months since April in correspondence for a loan and was not informed that I was not eligible for the loan until the last step. I provided all documentation, spent over a hundred hours in providing feed back, worked in meetings, emails, business plan updates, ensuring I meet all legal and financial requirements and for nothing. If you're running a business I would avoid spending your time with this organization or at least be prepared that after many months of work you will be informed that you're ineligible from the beginning. For me it was because I have a full time job and do not plan to leave even after the business grows, however, after communicating and going through the entire process for the program I applied for, I was informed from the final adjudicator that I was not eligible for the loan I was looking for. Don't trust information from your contact and make sure to re verify all information they give you before working with them.
