Futurekids Daycare Centre

When I was looking for a daycare in 2006, my criteria included hours of operation (full-time working mom), quality of staff, quality of activities/learning, and whether he would be loved and treated as if he were one's own child. I found all this and more at Future Kids! The hours and availability were great, and as a bonus, the fees were extremely reasonable. Ms. Esmail, Anna, and Veronica have been a loving, constant presence over the 7 years (FT daycare pre-K/K/gr.1-5, summers) that my son attended, and have helped shaped him to be a social, caring, responsible person. The binder he brought home at year-end (during the early years) was a wonderful keepsake of his activities, outings, and progress... proof positive I made the right choice! As he got older and being an only child, the interactions with children both older and younger than himself was invaluable in teaching empathy, patience, and sharing. The varied teaching methods (languages, singing, crafts, math, geography, science, cooking, reading/writing), field trips, guests (Cinemazoo, librarians, etc) coupled with daily, healthy, physical outdoor play, appropriate expectations (homework time after school; discipline expectations and appropriate consequences), and fun time (Wii/Kinect/movies) made him eager to attend, confident, and gave him a love of learning and encouragement to excel! During the summer, the program also included plenty of fun outings to the library, waterparks and playgrounds. "Graduation" to middle school was bittersweet as we will miss the staff, many who have become friends/babysitters over the years. I highly recommend Futurekids if you are considering a preschool, daycare, or summer program!

My 2 daughters attended Futurekids mainly on the "preschool side" M, W, F, and T&TH at the "daycare side. My girls previously went to a Montessori school & although the education factor was exceptional, I found it to be kind of a strict military style---kids had to be super quiet, almost a no fun-zone. With Futurekids preschool, it was pleasing to see there is a very solid "education side" of things mixed nicely with the arts, music, and "play & be a kid" concept. I found it was inexpensive compared to the other preschool. Futurekids staff are friendly, caring & were very accommodating to fit my freelance/odd hours shifts. The preschool is located on the grounds of Roy Stibbs elementary which makes it very convenient for parents to do ONE drop off/pick up during the day. Sometimes I would stick around & would see how teachers dealt with any kids who were hurt, nervous, disruptive, etc. Seeing how they dealt calmly with other children made me confident that my girls were in good hands. They would take the kids outside when the weather was good to allow them to be active & be extremely attentive to their safety/security. After a couple years, my previously shy daughter was able to make friends easily, know her alphabets, read & even do math so she was more than ready for Kindergarten. At the end of the year, I love how they put all my girls' art/school work into one binder...sparing me the time/effort to make memory books. Absolutely, I would not hesitate to recommend Futurekids to anyone who might be looking for a solid preschool or daycare for their kids.

My daughter has been going to the center for over 2 years since she was 3. At first she didn't speak any English and was crying all day during the first month. However, the teachers were always very patient and gentle with her until she eventually learned how to speak English after one month. Ever since then, she comes home happily every single day and always wants to stay longer to play! It is amazing to see how she has grown so much over the past 2 years during her stay at the daycare and has learned how to be more responsible to herself, her works and even other people. and The staffs were friendly and helpful all the time and I trust them with my kid's safety 100 percent. I would definitely recommend this daycare to all my friends and families in the future.

I definitely recommend future kids daycare. It is a very good daycare compared to many daycares in Vancouver. My son had a happy time there and he learnt many skills including speaking properly in English, socializing, and lots of other things that made him ready for kindergarten. I think a big part of it was because future kids staff engage kids in different activities and games and kids learn and build character and confidence through these games and activities. The staff are also very friendly and caring. I looked around and chose this daycare carefully because I didn't have a good experience with the previous daycare my son was attending. In the other daycare, my son was just passing his time without learning anything, but in future kids I could see his progress everyday. I am happy I made the right choice by choosing this daycare and I definitely recommend it to everyone.

We are so happy we sent our daughter to Future Kids. The staff there are genuinely loving and caring, so we felt safe leaving our daughter with them. If she was ever struggling socially with the other kids, we approached the staff and talked to them about it and they always took steps to ensure the situation was dealt with and that our daughter felt good going there. She spent about a year and a half at Future Kids before starting kindergarten and in that time learned a lot, including how to write the alphabet, her name, etc. I would highly recommend Future Kids to anyone looking for a safe, loving and educational environment.

My son started preschool here at 2.5 years of age, he loves it! The teachers were so fantastic with him, being so young I was hesitant, but it was the best decision for him. They have a great balance of structure/free play, as well as kindness and nurturing/dicipline. They put together for end of year a fantastic binder of you child's art work and photos of field trips and class experiences.

My son has been attending Futurekids daycare for 2.5 years. I always feel secure in knowing that he in capable hands. The staff are very friendly and communicative. They provide lots of fun time and learning activities every day. They teach responsibility and respect towards one another. A nice air conditioned environment with a wonderful park for daily play just outside the door. At the end of each year, the kids take home a binder full of photos and learning activities so that you can see what they have been up to all year. You couldn't ask for anything more for your youngster. Now my son is moving onto the next phase of his life. Kindergarten! I am confident that he is well prepared for his new adventure thanks to Futurekids daycare!

I am a full-time mom dedicated to taking care of my daughter, the only child in our family. After she had turned 3, I wanted to send her to a part-time daycare so she could be exposed to an English speaking environment (as we only talk in Mandarin at home) and socialize with other kids. My major consideration was about getting her ready for kindergarten. After having looked around in our neighborhood, I chose the preschool program at Future Kids, because its friendly and easy-to-approach staff gave me a very positive impression; the atmosphere in the daycare was also very pleasant and lively where kids were allowed to be kids; besides, I found their fee very reasonable. My daughter attended their preschool program for two years, and her experience turned out to be way more better than I expected in the first place. Not only has my daughter spent her time there safely and happily, but also she has learned different skills like writing, counting, drawing, crafting, etc. and made great progress both in academic and social aspects. At the end of every school year, she brought home a binder (I call them treasure binders) full of work sheets, paper crafts and pictures taken on special events or field trips that are absolutely associated with precious memories of her preschool time. My little girl is now in kindergarten and thanks to the wonderful preparation made at Future Kids she hasn't had any problem to adapt herself to the new routine, to follow the rules and instructions as well as to concentrate in the class. I am more than happy to write this review, as it's also a confirmation that I have made one of my best decisions in regard of my daughter's early childhood education. Last, but not the least, I'm also very grateful that there is a quality daycare like Future Kids in our neighborhood, because its staff really make a difference by taking care of our kids in a loving and caring manner.
