A safe way to climb to higher ground and have a beautiful city view from Quebec City and the Chateau Frontenac Fairmont hotel.

This is some experience, it's going straight up or down. 3 to 4 minutes and it's over. Will save you walking a hill of agony and time. It's Can$ 3.75, but we used it probably a dozen of times in 7days.

Short ride @$3.75 per person but quite useful for seniors and differently able people to traverse between upper and lower towns of old city in Quebec! View as you ride is awesome!

We walked down to lower portion of old Quebec and took the lift back up. This saves a great deal of time and is also very useful for those with mobility challenges. Fee was $3.75 and the views were very good.

If your in Canada, make sure to stop in Quebec. Since my girl friend and I went during our Winter break, the scenery was very beautiful with all the snow on the ground and buildings. I highly recommend stopping by.

The Funiculaire is a great alternative than going up and down a ton of stairs due to the massive incline. Keep in mind when we went in March the elevator was not working, so I did have to manage some stairs to even get to the Funiculaire. There are stairs to manage getting in and out of the entry point. It's also worth noting that the Funiculaire was closed for an hour and half over lunch which we weren't expecting, so you may want to factor this in if you have other stuff planned. It was freezing when we went, but we managed to find a small pub beside the Funiculaire which was open to have a drink and pizza while we waited to get back up the hill. When you're on the Funoculaire the view is incredible! As we went during March, there were no line ups. I suspect there would be huge lines in the summer so prepare for that. It's $4.00 Canadian for a one way ride and there's souvenir shops on either end with diverse range of items you can buy.
