â â â â â Voici les faits jâai fait affaire avec mon premier avocat du nom de Me Martin Fortier a dĂ©cider de prendre ma cause Me Fortier prend le dossier pour ensuite sans aucun avertissement me transfert avec une nouvelle avocate qui vient juste Ă ce moment de terminer son stage Me Laura Bonnet, elle prend le relais sans savoir trop quoi faire et pendant presque 1 ans sans aucune supervision de la part de Me Fortier fait du mieux quâelle peut pour naviguer seul du au fait que le capitaine a dĂ©laissĂ© le bateau( Me Fortier). AprĂšs presque 9 mois jâai fait des recherches pour trouver de la jurisprudence sur ma cause et lui en fait part. A ce moment elle demande Ă un collĂšgue Me Gourde-Pinet de me contacter pour me dire que ma cause est sur la mauvaise instance et que je doit ĂȘtre en Cour supĂ©rieur section commerciale et non Cour du QuĂ©bec, jâai bien mentionner que je voulais en aucun cas recommencer Ă zĂ©ro car Ă ce moment de ma cause je suis dĂ©jĂ rendu Ă pres de 15,000,00 ce quâont ma bien rassurĂ© et que je devrais seulement dĂ©bourser dans les 900$ pour me retrouver Ă la mĂȘme place que jâĂ©tais dans ma premiĂšre dĂ©marche en cour du QuĂ©bec. Bien la que je reçois une facture de 3155,95$ pour une autre demande introductive qui avait dĂ©jĂ Ă©tĂ© prĂ©parĂ© et envoyĂ© dans ma premiĂšre cause. A ĂVITER
 Here are the facts I did business with my first lawyer named Me Martin Fortier to decide to take my case Me Fortier takes the file and then without any warning transfers me with a new lawyer who has just finished her internship at this time. Me Laura Bonnet, she takes over without knowing what to do and for almost 1 year without any supervision from Me Fortier does the best she can to sail alone due to the fact that the captain has abandoned the boat (Me Fortier ). After almost 9 months I have researched the case law on my case and shared it with him. At this time she asks a colleague Me Gourde-Pinet to contact me to tell me that my case is on the wrong instance and that I must be in the Superior Court commercial section and not the Court of Quebec, I did mention that I wanted in any case start from zero because at this time of my case I have already reached nearly 15,000.00 which I was well reassured and that I should only pay in the $ 900 to find myself in the same place as I was in my first step in the court of Quebec. Well there I get an invoice for $ 3,155.95 for another introductory claim that had already been prepared and sent in my first case. TO AVOID

I settled several corporate files (sales of shares, addition of business name) and personal (will and protection mandate) with this office. Thanks to Martin Fortier and his multidisciplinary team. They did several follow-ups to ensure that each mandate was completed!

â â â â â My partner dealt with this law firm and we have been absolutely astonished by how incompetent, lazy and overpriced they are. Avoid at all cost. The notary that we dealt with was very unprofessional and spoke ill of another client of theirs, which was uncalled for and very immature.

â â â â â Worst experience ever! Avoid at all cost! I had a family court matter and they were representing me. After the court date, the lawyer I had cut-off all contact with me and a different lawyer called back 2 days before my following court date mentioning that I still had a balance due and that they were no longer going to represent me.
Once that lawyer checked his stuff and realized that I had no balance due, he said he'd take my case for 15$ (per hour) more than the previous lawyer (185 instead of 170). He also said he wouldn't charge for the first meeting since I'd basically be repeating myself. I got a 1500$ bill charged at 350$ per hour (with him having done nothing for the case) including the meeting aforementioned. When brought to his attention, he replied to take the bill the the Barreau to challenge the bill.
People go to lawyers when they're in time of need... These people will not help you and take your money for it.
