★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Access to Fort George Canyon Provincial Park on Google Maps is incorrect. All of the 4.8 km trails are on the west side of the river via West Lake. Google shows access to the river via our private driveway. The only access to the park and river is to the south of our private driveway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plan on an all day trip to have a comfortable hike. Parts of the trail are alittle steep; especially if it is wet. Good walking/hiking shoes are recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The last 3.5 kms to of the drive to the trail head is not suitable for a sedan. I did it in a civic but I wouldn't do it again. The trail itself is not well maintained. Ridiculous amount of mosquitoes and bugs. I bet there are better option available in the PG area. The view in the end is pretty good. We had fun sitting by the river but I am not sure if it was worth the 5 km hike to that spot and back (10 km in total).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hike. Winding thru the trees you can see lots of nature, stop at the tree with info on the local bears, enjoy the descent down to the river. Nice for summer, fall hikes and a good push in winter snowshoeing.
