C'est un laboratoire de recherche et d'enseignement unique dans le biome boréal, accessible aux étudiants, professeurs et chercheurs de l’Université Laval. Aussi ouvert à toutes les autres institutions d’enseignement et de recherche du monde entier, elle accueille le public pour certaines activités dans le cadre de sa mission. Endroit incroyable pour la marche en forêt avec toute la neige autant au sol que dans les arbres. Les raquettes sont de formidables outils de plein air qui nous permettent de sauter à pieds joints dans l’hiver comme aujourd'hui, même lorsque les sentiers sont ensevelis sous un épais tapis de neige. Il ne suffit toutefois pas d’enfiler la première paire de raquettes à portée de main pour être adéquatement équipé. Il existe un vaste choix de modèles possédant un grand nombre de spécificités. La Forêt Montmorency is Université Laval surrounded by nature, 70 kilometers from the main campus! It is a unique research and teaching laboratory in the boreal biome, accessible to students, professors and researchers from Université Laval. Also open to all other educational and research institutions around the world, it welcomes the public for certain activities as part of its mission. Incredible place for walking in the forest with all the snow on the ground as well as in the trees. Snowshoes are great outdoor tools that allow us to jump with both feet in winter like today, even when the trails are buried under a thick blanket of snow. However, it is not enough to put on the first pair of snowshoes at hand to be properly equipped. There is a wide choice of models with a large number of specificities.
