Follicles Hair Design and Spa - Red Deer

I went to follicles to get a hair tattoo with Aaron. The individual's hair she did before me was very welll done and I was impressed with the clients finnished look. She was friendly and did put forth effort. However, my request to do something spontaneous took an unnessescary amount of time and constant reassurance. I ended up spending way more time in the salon then I had ever intended and ended up paying 3-4x the amount I would typically pay. The end result turned out quite nicely and I was pleased with it, but I definitely will by no means be returning there in the future. The salon seems to have an older clientel, so if you are seeking something low key this might be the place for you.

I indulge in the Spa Treatments at Follicles, a Facial with Tracy is an indulgent experience second to none!! The Eminence Products they use are heaven on your skin and they have a great selection at the Salon for purchase as well. I have had facials for many years and not one of them was like the feeling of luxury Tracy's Facial gives you! If she's letting something sit for a bit she doesn't leave the room, that's when your feet or hands get a treatment. The facial and head massage leaves you so relaxed, you feel so pampered and spoiled, so indulge yourself in personalized experience!

I went in there the other day looking for eminence foundation and they were fantastic. We talked about the product, played with some of it, and then I made my purchase. Then I booked my daughter in for a cut and they did a FANTASTIC job! This is my new Red Deer salon, and they meet all my needs!! Thank you Follicles!!!

Unfortunately I have received an horrible hair cut, not even. I wanted a wavy style and after the lady blow dry my hair told me to mess them up with my hands. I was appalled , I had to instruct her to use a curler to make the waves...I had to go back and have another lady fixing the cut which is something frustrating because you are already being dissatisfied once so the step to be dissatisfied twice is very close.

I went in not really knowing what I wanted and Aaron walked through the whole process with me. When she called me to ask how I was liking my hair she noticed that I hesitated and she told me to come back in we would "fix" it... I went in she added a few foils and voila! Great hair colour and cut! Great customer service and friendly staff! Only minutes away from home.

I had the pleasure of visiting Follicles where Kim did a phenomenal job with her Balayage technique turning my dark hair with red tones into a gorgeous rich brown with Carmel highlights. We are going to work on turning the Carmel into beautiful blondes as we go forward. I explained to Kim what I was looking for, but said I was very open to suggestions; I just wanted my hair to stay healthy. She went over step by step what she would do and why she thought it was the best choice for my hair. Throughout each step of the process Kim reiterated what she was doing. After a few hours, her masterpiece was complete and I am in love with my new look. While Kim was styling my hair and using product, she explained what the product was, what it was used for, and how to use it. She then assisted me in choosing some products. Allie, the owner, also assisted with recommendations. I asked to buy some tickets for a raffle for Éminence skincare products. Allie asked if I had heard of Éminence, which I had not, and we started chatting about skincare products. Allie is very knowledgeable about skin care and the Éminence product line, which is a natural skincare line made in Hungary. She gave me a couple samples to try and after only three applications, I am already seeing a change in the firmness of my skin. I had an wonderful afternoon and I’m so happy I found this little gem for my hair/aesthetic need and had the opportunity to meet the wonderful ladies! NEXT ... Lashes by Kim and Facial by Allie! I would recommend Follicles Hair Design and Spa to anyone. The new ownership is taking great pride in a make over. The staff are all very friendly, inviting and respectful. The stylists take the time to make sure she understands your desired look from when you walk in the door- to when you walk out the door. It’s is Guaranteed you will feel incredible and will want to go back time after time and refer your friends and family. The first time I went to visit the hair salon, I had no idea what to expect. I hadn’t had my hair done in years. The stylist put me in her styling chair, ran her fingers through my hair, asked me what look I was going for. Within a Few, short minutes we had decided the look and treatments that was required to get the results. I will definitely refer my friends and go back again. ???. They are truly amazing. I look forward to a mani/pedi.

I had an excellent experience at Follicles Hair Salon. My hair stylist, Kim, was knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. She explained the different treatment options I had and helped me make the best choice for my lifestyle. She also gave me information on how to properly care for my hair. I walked into Follicles feeling like an ugly duckling and walked out feeling beautiful and confident. Thank you for the excellent service!
