A great free outdoor winter festival. A wonderful walk through the river valley, beautiful art, fantastic music and culture, colorful lights and great displays. Super fun, lovely festival.

An incredible event which features something for everyone from families to adults. Canoe uniquely Canadian festival that celebrates the variety of cultures, backgrounds, activities, art and music that we get to see in this country. Highlights that stood out included the travelling Voyageur storytellers, the light art exhibits along the river valley trails, the many and eclectic live music acts, the themed food available, and the collaborations with Edmonton creaters. Seeing Blind Enthusiasm sampling product at the event was a personal highlight as well. I'll be sure the return in upcoming years.

I enjoy it, but it's hard to navigate to see specific events, also Mill Ravine is super slippery. I plan to go back, I just wished the communication and information was better communicated- because it's confusing in some descriptions, until you physically talk to someone at the event. By then you may have missed the event.

Omg SO fun stoned! If you can handle the crowds you'll LOVE the lights. If you go stoned just remember to be respectful, there's lots of families with kids so don't ruin their time

Lots of fun at the flying canoe festival. Beautiful displays, lights, lovely walk from the art installations to the races. And the canoe race was safer than I had imagined. Still on tomorrow #yegdt

We attend this festival every year and in the recent years of Covid even the stripped down versions have been enjoyable. The volunteers go above and beyond every year to interact with the attendees and are both knowledgeable and helpful. The Ravine itself is beautiful; and the history and experiences are worth the trek.

This is an amazing event with the potential to be even better. We came back this year due to a very pleasant experience last year but it was by far a very different experience this year. Parking was an absolute nightmare to no fault of the organizers. The mix of good weather & cabin fever caused the attendance to absolutely explode on Saturday night. It was absolutely packed with people which caused a parking situation like no other. Maybe if they stressed no parking on site (similar to Heritage Days), it would ease the amount of vehicle & foot traffic in the area. The RSVP doesn't do much to ease the amount of people as I didn't notice anywhere that actually asked for proof of the RSVP. It was hard to enjoy much of the installations when it felt like you were being pushed this way & that. I'm glad to see the immense support for this event, don't get me wrong but it's even better when you're able to stroll through & enjoy. We'll look forward to returning again next year.
