A great little walk close to home. When we first arrived and saw the parking area was full, we were very concerned about how busy it would be, however once we were on the trail it was quite clear and everyone was very respectful of distancing. The lookout over the old quarry was a perfect spot to stop for a snack and cider. The lake area has been partially cleared for skating, so we may head back to give that a shot. For the most part the paths were clear, although there aren't actual markings, so a good idea to snap a picture/download the map.

One of our go-to hikes! We love the width of the trail for ease of passing other trail-goers and dogs. Scenic, great variety of landscapes to explore.

It is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Once you choose to walk differently then you can explore the forest in the left side of the walk way .You can see the exact feeling of entering a forest. Made me felt for a moment that I am a character in the movie called The Chronicles of Narnia?.We found a hidden way as well . If you want you can explore the forest too. Overall it was a great and memorable experience.

Great hike to a beautiful old quarry! About a 45 min hike to the quarry and an hour hike back to the parking lot. The water in the quarry is a pretty blue and we saw lots of aquatic wildlife, such as frogs, water snakes, and dragonflies. There is also a board walk over a portion of the water. Overall pretty easy flat terrain for hiking. Parking lot gets full on busy days so best to go earlier in the morning those days. Parking costs less than $10 for the whole day. Saw several off-leash dogs during the hike so beware if you are not comfortable with that.

I love this place, a great long loop that takes about an hour to walk. Before the sun started setting so early it was the best place for a relaxing after work hike. Parking lot is very small, and I couldn't go one Wednesday afternoon because it was packed. Trails are very clear and easy to follow.

This is probably the least visited place among all Hamilton Conservation Authority locations. The parking is free with an HCA card and $7.50 for non-members. We went to Fletcher Creek on a workday and met only two people with their dogs. The walking path makes a 4.5 kilometres loop, and the area is mostly flat. The walk is easy and enjoyable.

I discovered this place by accident last spring. The trail I was going to was full and so I opened up the map to see what else was nearby and saw this spot. What an awesome surprise! A great trail going in. The path opens up in the main area into a beautiful scenic view. There's a pretty crystal clear lake and a great viewing area that looks over everything. It used to be a quarry and was remade into this park. Not a lot of parking available though so it might fill up on weekends!

This "park" is an absolute hidden gem and I hesitate to write about it as its so close to GTA that I wouldn't want it to be overcrowded in the future, however, I love everything nature and anyone who loves nature should know about this preserve. its totally hidden with few trails leading into the heart of it. There is also very little parking.. there is a small lot but is further away from the good parts so you can find a shoulder along the road and park there. There will always be few cars already. The preserve is very large and you will see all kinds of wildlife, from deer to foxes, lots of birds and some fish in the shallow parts. This place is great for photos and trails and on a warm and sunny days there are shallow pools with warm water for kids to splash in and try to catch minnows. Absolutely beautiful spot.
