I've been here a few times to help friends pick up cheques and submit their information. They make clients wait out in the cold when the waiting room is more than half empty, there are a lot of moms who end up here with their babies, and the wait can be more than an hour, but there isn't even a change table in the bathroom. Staff contradict each other's information. At least this is a quieter office...

this social assistance office is by far... in my opinion... the least unpleasant to utilize (in comparison to the Whalley, the Newton, and the North Delta locations, respectively). as with all of the aforementioned addresses... I've become accustomed to and always know that the government bureaucrats always operate on what i can only describe as the "hurry up and wait" system. this is nothing new... BUT the line up here are a great deal shorter and waiting times not nearly as long. also when lined up outside an added bonus is the undercover area in which everyone stands

They make you wait outside in the cold even when there are only 3 people in the waiting room that holds about 20 people . The only reason I see for this is that the staff feels rushed or pressured when they can see the people waiting. I cant see any other logical reason for it. The lines are usually shorter here than any other office so that is a plus.

I went to this office to help one of my friend. I was surprised at the rude and unprofessional customer service of the place. The client's are made to wait outside the office in cold weather whereas the security guard sits on a comfortable seat inside the office. The Security Guard rudely forces the client's to stand outside in cold weather while he enjoys the office warmth. I requested to speak with the staff to apprise them of the situation. The staff was unprofessional and told us to wait outside to apply / get the benefits. A very frustrating experience.

This place is a joke stand in line for 2 days and still not get in. Half hour and the line hasn't even moved!!! Pathetic joke!!!!

what an absolute joke. waited for 45 minutes only to have a belligerent asshoel walk in and cause a scene, receiving service immediately. nobody even acknowledged my existence while I was in the office. do better.

the service here is TERRIBLE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. PEOPLE like this shouldn't be here to "assist" those in need/help. JASMINE working second booth today at 11am-12pm was incredibly rude, unprofessional, didn't want to help me at all. Referred to me as β€œsweetheart” and β€œhoney” multiple times as she spoke down on me with an attitude, rolling her eyes. She was on a power trip and convinced them to not give me my cheque. They wouldn't even give me their names to report them but since her co workers had to take her in the back to calm her down I heard them say Jasmine. I have this all on video. I'm so disappointed and disgusted that people like this are hired to assist people with physical and/or mental disabilities. I come home to find that they lied about me receiving a "message" to confirm a TDD cheque. I told them several times that I just checked and had no messages but they wouldn't listen and now I have to go back to get it since they didn't give me the cheque. I explained several times how the cheque is needed before the end of the month (Feb 28) and she just didn’t care, rolled her eyes and kept repeating the same thing. Update: Came in again today (Feb 28) to get my cheque and no problems. No mention of a message. It was confirmed JASMINE and the man working booth 1 Feb 25th 11am lied to me for no known reason. I explained what happened Friday with the man who assisted me today and he is sending in a complaint and recommended I do so too. I will be contacting management and they will be investigating this further. Not sure why I was discriminated against and treated this way but hopefully she won’t be able to treat people like this further.

A this point and time I'm having a problem with income ?. Came to this location to get info and forms. Only 4 in the line waiting for office workers lunch to finish..about 1pm. Security at door came, opened up the door and just "jumped up" to help..seriously..he was very nice. Lady at desk, I needed, forms explained was also great. We all need to take it easy when we're at these offices...busy or not. Thanks.
