Fire Tech Fire Protection Inc. is a full service fire protection company that had been incorporated since 1993 and employs roughly 55 full-time employees. We do $8,000,000.00-$10,000,000.00 of work per year and carry $5M for liability insurance and are able to provide bonding on large and small scale projects.
• We offer quality engineer- designed sprinkler systems for both commercial and residential properties.
• We provide our services in Edmonton as well as most of Western Canada.
• We offer pre-construction design services in complete 3D for building permit applications and coordination.
• We install, maintain and inspect Fire Pumps.
• We sell, certify, maintain and inspect fire extinguishers.
• We install, maintain and annually inspect fire alarm systems.
We have our own in house team of designers and engineers.
Fire Tech is also the only fire protection company in Western Canada that has a computerized fabrication welding machine. What this machine allows us to do is cut costs on both the labour and material , along with proving the precision of cutting and welding that a computer gives.
We have a broad range of experience including High-rise buildings, Walmart’s, Canadian Tires, Costco’s, Home Depots, Grocery stores, Schools, Warehouses, Rec Centres, Arena’s, Shopping Malls, Condo’s and Motels We have done hundreds of job all over western Canada and in every case we have met all project deadlines and completion dates.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They have been a terrible subcontractor. They call and threaten almost daily. If I don’t return their call in 24 hrs they say we don’t answer calls and write negative reviews. They don’t read their contracts and expect something completely different. They don’t trust their clients at all. I suspect they are going bankrupt soon with how aggressive they are. Over the top. Contractors beware. They also don’t update there billing as required and it’s always someone else’s fault when there is an issue as a result. Just wow hire someone else even if you have to pay a little more it will be worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These guys called us to fix one of their machines in November. We sent our technicians and worked overtime to get them running. It's August now and they still haven't paid their bill.
Colt, their GM won't return my calls and their AP is trying to negotiate a 30% settlement of the original invoice.
I don't know what kind of product or service they offer but they have treated us terribly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We would give Fire Tech a zero star rating as a company to deal with if possible. They have called us for multiple fire pump engine repairs which we carried out in a timely manor and for the cost quoted. They provided purchase order numbers to us and have now refused to pay the bills. We have been back and fourth with the company accountant ( owners wife ) and even agreed to providing them with a payment plan to help them out. After that was in place they just decided not to pay that either, even gave us a phony credit card number for payment. One location was $8000.00 in repairs, total they are into us for us over $16,000.00. We are a small business too just like them with costs of our own. Colt, the General manager has done nothing for us and says it’s out of his control. We have bent over backwards for these guys and now they won’t answer emails or phone calls. They don’t even contest that the bills are not theirs, they just simply decided they didn’t have to pay. Very disappointing to be treated like this by a fellow local small business. Terrible company, I would recommend to go to someone else that can be trusted. Fire Tech can NOT be trusted.
