Fire of God is the church where all people are welcome, where you will find kind and caring people ready to help whenever you need it, many families have been benefited and blessed with food. Everyone is invited to be part of this blessed team.

This is by far the most welcoming and upbeat food bank that I have ever had any pleasure dealing with. There is always happy music playing, albeit a little loud, it is catchy and keeps ppl in a good mood. There is such an abundance of food that is overwhelming to say the least.

Absolutely ridiculous. I’ve gone only three times to the Fire of God, and I won’t be returning. Another low star review in this thread is correct when they mention that there is only pastries, rotting/rotten fruits + veggies, snacks and cans of drinks. Very very little variety beyond this. It was helpful the first two times I went, it kept me and others fed with not too much of an issue. Half the food you are given is too rotten to consume the moment you get it and another 25% of it will decay in your fridge and you won’t get to eat it. All berries i’ve been given have been laden with mold. They have recently updated the rules for this food bank last time I attended ( ~2 weeks ago ) and it is upsetting to acknowledge. You must pay $12.50/per visit or $50 monthly in order to access the food that is in possession of these people. If you’re too poor to afford this ( most every person going to a FOOD BANK ) the staff will oblige and prepare a small amount of food for you to take home instead of allowing you to choose yourself. They gave me far less than a plastic grocery bag’s worth of solely fruits and vegetables. 5 pieces of fruit, 9 vegetables. As an individual on my own I am grateful for the sustenance, but I sure hope they give more variety to families/single parents. Regardless of the reason that makes these payments necessary, I figure me and the rest of the financially insecure people who attend should NOT be the ones FUNDING this. If we could to pay to eat, we would be in a grocery store. I perceive this organization at best as greedy and sketchy now. They are given the food donations for free or they are paid donations given to them by strangers I assume, yet they charge their vulnerable clientele a selfish amount of money for a human necessity. As usual with organizations for low income persons, it is run by Christians and the atmosphere reflects it. “ God “ gives us food on this earth to sustain ourselves with and I’m upset these people are taking monetary advantage of people in the name of their faith. Wouldn’t recommend, do not waste your money, there are way better food banks available.

I was there on Sunday with my family. It was my first time in a church but I felt very welcomed. I got to choose my groceries.. I left with close to $200 in free groceries. I am going through a rough time with my family and this will really help me out. The only bad thing is the wait time but its understandable there are a lot of people in need. The wait is worth it. I would recommend brining a book . You get to wait upstairs., so yes, it's a wait but you're comfortable. I had my daughter who is 5 , I brought her an iPad and she was okay. Thank you Fire of God for what you're doing. I will be back.

Today my family and I went to this food bank after seeing so many advertisements about this place on social media, but I do not agree what they do. They’re supposed to be helping people in need that want to go get food, but if you’re not going to that so called service you apparently no longer get food & you lose your spot which is called MANIPULATION. This Sunday morning March 13th we received a number, they gave us a seat & we told them we didn’t wanna attend the service & that we came just for the food. They told us if we leave we lose the spot to get food, which is considered forcing your religious beliefs upon others. I do not have anything against this religion but people are entitled to their own religious beliefs & shouldn’t manipulate people to attend your service (which I also doubt that people are even interested in attending this so called service). If they are gonna help this community, they should not force their people to attend this service & instead give the people what they want which is food. They only want food, not to sit down for 3 hours just to listen to some old guy preach in another language which the majority of that audience DO NOT even understand & then listen to severe loud music. Please reconsider your actions & please do not manipulate the people in need to attend your pity service. You claim to help people, then do it now & stop forcing people to attend your service like my family was today. We had to leave because of this charade. I am disappointed about the poor service you have provided today.

Everyone is there so very friendly, welcoming, non~judgmental its great. It really is an amazing place. I brought my almost 2 yr old son with me as I'm a single mom and everyone there were talking to him, and making his time there more enjoyable. Since I had my son was with me in a stroller, there were two volunteers that were absolutely amazing and brought the stroller down the stairs and back up the stairs once I had my bags of groceries. It was truly a great experience. ???

The Fire of God is a wonderful place for me and I love to go there! They are respectful and loving to everyone that goes there. Such a nice place and good food that they give you. The 50$ that they have just made is a good decision. I have already payed my 50$ and I got it over with and now I don’t need to worry about it. And their food is in good condition and so good when you eat it! I recommend you go to the Fire of God Community Outreach Centre. Love you guys and may god be with you! :)
