★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried to obtain replacement glass for a fireplace door but the woman at the desk continually interrupted and talked over me. I asked for tempered glass but she insisted that I needed ceramic glass, which is much more expensive and required for airtight stoves, but not regular fireplaces as far as I know. She said my home insurance wouldn't be valid if she sold me tempered glass so she refused citing it was against code. Funny then that they sell tempered glass fireplace doors at Home Depot and Lowes if they are not to code.
