My husband and I cannot stress enough how happy we are with Colin from Evolve Basements Inc. for exceeding our expectations with the development of our basement. Not only did he stay on budget, he demonstrated high quality of tradesmanship, offered the highest level of customer service and was able to deliver to his anticipated timelines. He went as far as removing a window from the basement to help my husband bring in our couches down from the bonus room at no extra cost. We have already recommended him to co-workers and some of our closest friends. We would not hesitate to hire him again for any other type of home renovation projects.

Colin and his crew were amazing to deal with! Our basement is better looking then we imagined. He guided us on design ideas, listened to us, and was nice, on time, and ON BUDGET. We will recommend Evolve over and over to our friends.

After a number of quotes we had the best feeling that Evolve Basements was the best fit for us when we met Colin and Tyler. They are very personable, approachable, and Colin had an immense knowledge about the use of our space. He took our input into consideration, and found the best possible way to maximize our basement and make it amazing!

Evolve Basements finished our undeveloped basement in the fall of 2020 and completely exceeded all expectations. Colin and Tyler and the crew did most of the work themselves and then Colin used his trusted trades for mechanical, drywall and final painting. We were delighted with the work and have since used Colin to redo our two upstairs bathrooms (complete gut and remodel) AND a complete kitchen remodel. Colin is incredibly versatile and knows how to do all aspects of renovation from 3D design, framing, electrical, plumbing, drywall, ceilings, tiling and painting. He is also a perfectionist and responded to all issues and made sure we were completely satisfied. Any additional requests were handled immediately. He loves a challenge!! Colin and Evolve Basements would get six stars if that rating was available!

We recently had Evolve Basements develop our undeveloped basement and we couldn’t be happier we choose them. Colin from Evolve was awesome from start to finish. He provided us a 3D design of our basement along with the estimate so we could see what it was going to look like (other companies said they would do this but it turns out that was only if we choose them). His estimate was very competitive with the other ones we received as he does almost all the work himself. Since he does the work himself we only dealt with him which was great and made the whole process less stressful. Colin had a bunch of great ideas for our basement including a 2 story castle playhouse for our kids under the stairs which turned out amazing and also for the stone behind the TV. He also helped us with all of our selections (tile, paint, carpet etc) which was a big help. He also shopped around quite a bit to get us the best deal possible on all of our selections to save us some money (which we were very appreciative of). Overall the basement turned out better than we could have imagined and was on budget and done on time. Colin’s communication with us was great and he kept us in the loop on everything that was going on throughout the whole process. He also put up with our 2 little kids wanting to come down and see the basement and talk to him everyday (our kids were actually sad when we told them Colin was done and wouldn’t be coming back again as he was great with them!). We have already recommended Colin to one of our friends and would definitely recommend Evolve to anyone else looking to get their basement developed or renovated. We can’t wait to start using the basement.

Great work and great experience. Colin did a wonderful job. Very easy to deal with, excellent communication. He was very helpful and achieved all of our goals in the basment. We had 4 companies coming in and by far Evolve basment was the best in addressing all of our concerns ...from cutting a window in the concrete...to putting together a whole audio/vedio system...Tvs, projectors,sound systems...great washroom finishing.. Price was great...so definitely great value . We are already talking with Colin..for our next project. Thank you for a great job.

Colin and his helper, Tyler, did an amazing job on your basement development. It turned out beautifully and the process was painless and on budget. We choose Colin because we had a few weird things about our basement and the other companies we contacted didn’t seem to have good solutions to the possible problems. Colin didn’t seem phased at all and proposed reasonable sounding ideas. Colin, his crew and all the trades people he used on this job were friendly, respectful and lovely people that you are happy to welcome into your home everyday. I would recommend Evolve Basements to anyone planning a future development. It has only been completed for a couple of days but we are loving it.

We just had our basement finished by Evolve Basements and we are so glad we picked them! Our home is newly built of this year and we chose not to develop the basement with our builder because of their standard one-bedroom design. We wanted more rooms for extended family who’s going to be living with us. When we met with Colin the first time for a quote, he had presented a free 3D design. The design he had in mind for us was the one we had envisioned for our basement. It’s like he read our minds! It was just perfect for our needs and unique plus the quote was reasonable that Evolve stood out among the other basement developers we’ve met. He focused mainly on maximizing the space and was able to put in a bedroom, an office, a full bath, and extra storage spaces whilst keeping the living area space as is as I have requested. I would also get frequent updates. Everyone in the team is very professional, respectful, and efficient with their work. I am a first-time homeowner and I find the entire basement development process smooth even to times when there were some faulty installations by our builder. Colin was able to troubleshoot all of them. We will definitely recommend Evolve Basements to friends and if you have read this review this far, you won’t regret getting them!
