This is the best dojo in Toronto. The teachers are very engaging and make it a fun learning experience with the martial aspect of training. Thank you Shihan!

We have found Etobicoke dojo the best place for real self defense (karate and BJJ) lessons. Great family atmosphere, great with kids and adults.

Advanced adult classes are misrepresented as a comprehensive self-defense course for beginners. I've been to places like this and they're all pretty much the same: you'll end up as the one and only weird person in street clothes surrounded by a bunch of advanced students in fancy robes and black-belts. In the "first" class of the season, they'll pick up where they left off (they've been continuously working together for months/years) and conduct a bunch of drills they know by heart while you're standing there trying to copy things you don't understand and are not ready for. First principles are ignored--beginners must pay hundreds in tuition, then learn nothing from instructors. Mixing students like this is flat-out wrong and unfair to everybody involved, but they only care about money. God, places like this make me so mad.

We have been with the Dojo for a few years with both our kids. Sensei is fantastic. He has not only helped teach my boys Karate but self confidence and how to deal with 'other' situations at school.

My son has been training karate for last few months, and I have only nice words to say about Sensei Paulo and his team. They are amazing group of people who providing exemplary service. Kids learn much more than Karate at Etobicoke Dojo, I am really impressed. My son loves coming here for training. I would recommend this to anyone who has kids, you won't regret it.

Excellent place for kids to learn martial arts. I have two boys enrolled and they both love it. They tried another place before here and got bored very quickly. The owner/main instructor Paulo is amazing with kids - very engaging and disciplined. The staff are fantastic - a great family atmosphere!
