Amazing atmosphere. We felt like part of the culture and though we didn't speak French it didn't matter because we connected with the energy of the people there. The food was outstanding. Split pea soup with bread, potatoes and gravy, ham slices, cole slaw, pork rinds, egg souffle and dessert of pancakes with maple syrup! Then you got to go pull taffy on ice outside! It was so fresh and clean tasting! We played in the snow and goofed off with the sled and tubing. I highly recommend this experience!

Very Good Experience We have been here 2X with bus groups and they do a fantastic job of hosting our group, explaining maple sugar, serving a delicious meal, fun entertainment of song & dance. We will return.

Nice ambiance and food tasty. But dessert lacking.. only crepes. First time I go to a cabane with only one dessert choice and no tarte au sucre either. Disappointing for the price we paid.

Very nice and traditional place. An all you can eat maple theme brunch for families, friends and colleagues. Had a great time there and the food is decent.

Had an amazing time at Érablière le Chemin du Roy! We visited the weekend before Christmas, I called the day before and Rose was very responsive and accommodating to our request. She set us up with a tour of the sugar shack talking through the history of maple syrup in Quebec, and topping it off with maple taffy on snow! You can feel the heritage and tradition when visiting, they really maintained a lot of the original equipment and facility for making maple syrup. Rose was very kind, flexible, and easygoing owner and made this part of our trip a highlight!

Amazing tour for Quebec's maple syrup industry. Tour available in both English and French, just need to call in advance. One of the remaining few farms using traditional method for extracting maple syrup. Apparently, best time to visit and try local food is around may and they don't sell their syrup, just used for restaurant.

We recently visited here, it was the busiest crowd of people I have been in since the pandemic began (in two years). At first it was a bit overwhelming walking into the sugar shack with a room full of people talking. However, Once we were seated and got settled in we loved being immersed in the Québécois culture. It was great to be amongst the positive energy, and seeing people sing along, clap and dance to the live music being performed. We came on their opening day of the season so I think my review won’t be a true reflection of other peoples experiences moving forward. We arrived for 10am and the food wasn’t served till around 10:45am. I was a bit unclear of what happens ie. if there was any information presented on the maple syrup industry etc. while waiting I just took photos, drank coffee and absorbed the culture. When the food came, there was a lot served, and of course we weren’t able to eat it all (sausage, eggs, potatoes, ham, bacon, toast, beans, pancakes, fried fat, there was no pea soup that was served (unless I missed it) The maple syrup that is served isn’t apparently produced there. I was a bit confused on what happens here exactly ie is it just a sugar shack for traditional meals or was there trees being tapped or set up to be tapped for syrup season (no one explained anything to us when we were on sight) Having said this, I don’t regret coming here. Rose was pleasant and I enjoyed gifting her with some yukon birch syrup ? The staff were friendly and the other patrons (many had young kids were all having so much fun and it was nice to be apart of) We had many other things to do as we came here during our last day in Quebec City. Our taxi came and so I didn’t follow up with Rose directly about getting a tour, she did say before I arrived that she probably wouldn’t have time for a tour given that it was her opening day. The meal came with a maple syrup stick that was rolled in snow. We had a $30 coupon each as it was included in one the the Quebec City Tourist Passes. It cost about $35 to get here via taxi from the Château Frontenac This was a nice experience and I don’t regret coming here.

This experience was such a fun adventure! Be sure to call in advance. We loved this Maple Grove! When you arrive there are fun sleds to travel on a trail with, as well as tubing available on site. Staff are friendly! There's a store to buy souvenir's as well. Our lunch also included a wonderful musician that involved the children and played the accordion and guitar. He played lots of Quebec/Canadian folk music and we got to sing and was a great host! The food was wonderful and maple syrup of course amazing. Such a great time! The end was finished with fun Maple Syrup sticks on snow outside! We will Definitely will be back!
