Food court is the only best part. Shops are closing day by day.

The mall has been a little run down, a lot less stores since I have been last. My biggest thing is there are no more benches to deteriorate from houseless people from laying down in the mall. This is problematic for seniors who just want to walk around the mall they once knew.

Lived and worked downtown a block away from city center from 1999 to 2008 and haven't really been back much since then. I was so sad, actually heartbroken to see what this place has become. I wondered city center for an hour and a half the other day, waiting for my husband to finish an appointment, to alarmingly see close to half of the other people around were people experiencing homelessness, and over half of the business that I remember being there, now closed and just empty space! The once busy food courts are now parking lots. Lame. I feel like there was good security, and it was clean but just the overall feeling was so sad and dreary. Also I didn't realize Edmonton had such a homelessness problem.... there needs to better, central places for people to keep warm, and safe. The city needs to find better uses of these empty spaces. Even a more concealed cleanable lounge area for...well anyone... to sit, nap, whatever... during the day.

Back in the early 90s this was an incredible mall. The mini golf course on the lower level, the food court, dozens and dozens of stores. Now, it's just a sad empty mall. Nobody goes down here anymore. Sometimes I wander through just to remember what it used to be like. There are no stores here anymore.

Maybe it's because I often visit this mall on a weekend when there are less people downtown, but it's always pretty quiet here. The selection of shops is pretty lean and with no anchor retailer, I have to wonder what they can do to attract and keep tenants. The mall needs cosmetic updates. Very little here that you can't find at a more vibrant shopping mall. On the plus side, it's less busy, so if you don't like crowds, this is the place for you!

This mall used to have a lot of cool stores in the downstairs area but I went there recently and the entire downstairs food court was gone along with all of the stores that were around it, Cookie by George, Starbucks, EB Games, Grand and Toy, it's not there anymore. I know Cookies By George moved upstairs but that small area had a slew of good stores right next to each other. Why you would ruin that is beyond me. Not to mention the food court is also gone! Why? There is a theater there if you go all the way to the back end of the mall and up to the top floor. that hasn't changed there is an escalator that goes up there but only an up escalator. The only way back down that I have seen is by elevator. This mall is really weird and it has always been kinda weird but I do sort of like the weirdness of it. It always seems to be empty too. Even though it's right in the heart of down town. I guess everyone else hates paying for parking as much as I do!

Very cool place, I wish there were more people around, looks a little lonely, hopefully more people come to downtown to support this business.
