Pleasant stable with well cared for horses and friendly staff in Countryside surroundings. Summer camp for kids, and extensive trails nearby. They introduce voltige, which is really neat. Unfortunately, while the camp’s coach is fantastic, friendly, and active, this camp is apparently not a very high priority for the stable. Thus, the time on horses, ability to go on the advertised promenade, and number of horses allocated for the campers varies from day to day. Instead of riding, the kids mostly get to learn the names of all the horses and help take care of them. Over the past two weeks, each rider has had 20 to 30 minutes on horses each morning, and the same amount of time most afternoons (unless there is rain). For kids eager to ride this camp can be somewhat disappointing. We signed up after reading that each rider would have charge of a horse and ride most of the day. In the end, it was seven hours of camp each day, with only half an hour on the horse one day due to rain, two sessions of twenty to thirty minute on a horse on the other days, and a cancelled promenade on the final day, because lessons got scheduled at the same time. Campers sit and watch when it’s not their turn to ride; two to three campers share share time on each horse during the two one-hour riding sessions each day. The horses were wonderful when they got a chance to ride!
