The other rental place in town is a little more slick but very impersonal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let's see...rider mower, Sears, brand new last summer, simple tune up, promised for wednesday, waited till friday, no phone call. I called them...oh yes, it is ready. Had to insist to get a 'try for delivery today'.
Offered to pay right then...$275.00 +...for what?
New oil filter - they didn't produce the old one as they are supposed to.
2 litres oil...6.50 at Shell - $19.00.
Pick up and delivery - $110.00 maybe a half hour of work. (and on a trailer how many additional pick-ups can be loaded and charged $110.00 per.? Perhaps that is why there was no attempt to deliver until I phoned, I was the only customer living South of town so no double or triple dipping.)
1-1/2 hours labour @ $60.00 per hour...work it out, skilled labour, mechanic, costs $60.00 an hour, really skilled driving a pick up for delivery of the mower roughly $110.00 an hour.
The young male answering my phone call, polite, pleasant. The person claiming to be the owner who delivered the mower - surly at best.
Scoring Out of 10:
Service - 5 hoping the mower works.
Attitude, customer service: Owner- 2 Person answering phone- 7.
Value for money: Rip off.
