★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped here as a break on our way back home. At first glance it was a surprisingly nice park with nice views of the valley. Lots of trees and the campground Hidden Coulee was quite spacious. However the reasons for 2 stars are these:
1) I had to pick up a bag full of garbage from our campsite, which included, but not limited to: balloon pieces, plastic forks, bottle caps, wrappers, tissue paper, a sock, and a small ball.
2) throughout the park, we have noticed lots of garbage laying around and a serious lack of secure garbage cans.
3) the water is overgrown with algae and plants, which cases the fish to die and wash up to the shore (there was at least one fish every 1-2 meters on the beach), causing a strong fishy odour throughout the beach area. We asked the staff, and the mentioned this happens every year in these lakes. Definitely would not recommend swimming here.
4) people don't respect quite hours or others here. At about 11-12 at night there was a group that was yelling at there campsite while we were trying to sleep.
So I felt quite ripped off by paying $42 ($20 campground, $12 reservation fee, $10 daily parking pass) for a dirty campground, dirty park and an unusable beach/swimming area.
We will NOT be coming back here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet, clean - even had a little helper (see images). Would get 5 stars if we could have had real bonfires! Have to commend whomever is responsible for the layout for the south side of Aspen. It has shade, privacy and places for people to park their honking huge trucks and boats. We could sorta hear neighbours but low key and respectful with their kids, pets and music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic day doing Storybook walk, outdoor skating, cross-country skiing & yummy food from the eatery by Echo Ridge Golf Course. Wonderful day spent at Echo Provincial Park!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great place to go winter camping. You can rent a heated yurt and go skating through the campground as they have flooded the roadway in one of the loops for skating. They have Christmas lights strung along the skating path for a nice evening skate. A nice dark location for watching the stars at night. Lots of snowshoeing and cross country ski trails across from the park. A peaceful quiet winter getaway!
