Earl Bales Park is one of the best parks that I've been to so far. It has amazing trails, scenery, wildlife and playgrounds. I would most definitely go again if it wasn't so far from me, but it's most definitely worth the journey if you're further away. If I could rate 1000/10, I would. Forgot to add, there's a lot of photo opportunities, even an extremely friendly squirrel ?️, the squirrel most definitely made my day!

A very big dog park. It is on a hill side. The parking closest to the dog park gets full very quickly. The place gets very muddy when wet and because of the slope, it becomes very slippery. You need to walk on grass to get to the lower gate, there are countle?” land mines” both on your way to the park, and inside the park. I have had mostly positive experiences with the patrons of the park. There is a water fountain near by for summer time. All gates were latching fine today. It gets okay maintenance. Before 3:00pm, you could run into a bunch of dog walkers, but I usually find walkers to be professional and friendly there. I wish people would have cleaned up Addie their dogs a lot better there but it’s a big park and I could see how it could be missed.

Lovely park with lots of activities, loved snow ❄️ all around. If you’re interested, skiing and snowboarding is at really price.

It rained all day Saturday and this morning. Some spots were still covered with ice slushes. Started from the main parking went to north. Then turned to east and then walked southward along the Don River. Turned to west at the end of the pond and returned. The loop is short, about 3km in length. It was a little busy.

Beautiful location . I come here every morning to take my dog for a walk and play in the off leash area. The trails are nice too. It can get pretty crowded but I would recommend everyone to go check it out.

This is a great park for BBQ, picnics, and natural hikes. There is even a small ski/snowboarding hill with a chair lift. There is an amphitheatre and you check their schedule for a list of family movie nights and cultural events. And who doesn't appreciate an off-leash dog park. The main paved trail is a looping trail that is about 3.5km but you can wander off onto side trails and easily get in a 6 or 7k walk. There is plenty of free parking at two entrances and the main paved wheelchair accessible. For the more adventurous, you can hike up the hills and get in about 100m climb. It is a beautiful walk in the fall, along the river and through stands of young Birch trees with mix forest everywhere.

This park is great for all ages. The children have their own big playground, splash pads, areas to BBQ, a ski hill. The whole area is just spacious. Guests usually have their parties and family gathering here. I do recommend to come earlier in order to pick the best spots. If you come later you may not find a parking space for your vehicle. Yes, they have a washroom too but we bring our own hand wipes. Overall, we love coming here and will most likely come back again. There’s no entrance fee which makes it even better.

A really great park to check out in North Toronto. The park borders Bathurst Street and is just south of Sheppard. Very accessible by transit and by car and not to far from highway 401. There is plenty of parking and transit options available. However again, it does fill up quiet quickly so I recommend going early even to get parking. They have community events throughout the year and you can check out the community centre in the park for more information. Playgrounds, splash pad, an amphitheatre, dog off leash sections, picnic grounds and many trails can all be found here. They even have a ski and snowboard centre however based on the weather and Covid restrictions, you will need to check if this is in operation. I highly recommend going as early as you can in the warmer season for reserving picnic spots. It gets filled quiet quickly especially in the summer months. Permits may be needed for some activities so make sure to check with the city of Toronto for more information. My favourite part of the park is the wooden fenced trail over looking the pond. Check it out if you are in the North York area in Toronto.
