Been a member for 8 years and its down and dirty. Staff is constantly changing, no money is ever really spent on upgrading equipment,Very little is new. It could be so different if they actually cared about about the people who use the gym or their employees. Read the other reviews they all same the same thing. Broken equipment, cold showers and the towels for wiping down the machines are a joke. The owners are interested in making money not running a successful gym. Such a shame because it could be amazing.

Don't go to this gym, the unprofessionalism of management is completely appalling!!! I went to this gym for a year almost every single day and have always followed the rules. Due to COVID it is standard that we must book appointments which I have always done. I am a Nurse and I take COVID extremely serious! I had booked an appointment to work out and ran into an acquaintance from the gym in the parking lot while I was waiting for my time slot to start. This individual and I had walked into the facility at the same time because it was the start of my appointment and had spoken to this individual while in the gym regarding fitness. This individual did not have an appointment and was spoken to by staff but was not forced to leave. I did not know this as I was just there to workout and mind my own business. Because I was seen talking with this individual I was kicked out and band from the gym without even being asked if I was involved in the matter. I had nothing to do with the situation, however false assumptions were made that I somehow snuck this individual in and out of the gym and was now an accomplice??? I was treated extremely rudely when I attempted to explain that I had nothing to do with it. I was told it is "he said she said" and the manager had no interest in what I had to say. I was told that I do not take COVID seriously which is insulting as I work on a daily basis in the fight against COVID and utilize the gym as a stress reliever. It is not my job to make sure everyone has an appointment or follows the rules, I can only take care of myself. Might I add, I get tested DAILY for my job and take protocols more serious than most people. I was told that I would not be charged effective that day... and of course the next day I was charged. I tried to get a hold of the manager for a week straight and was getting ignored. When I finally got a hold of the manager, she was extremely rude to me. If this us how you treat your front line workers and a client that pays for your facility and does follow rules then this is just sad and unprofessional! Take your money else where and somewhere that will treat you with respect. I will not be recommending this gym to anyone I know and multiple people I know will be leaving this facility due to this and because this is not the first complaint about management and the way they run their business!

A few tips for those who used to be a member at the Oshawa North club. Last summer I noticed payments coming out of my account even though the north club was closed. When I called, their argument was the south-east club was open and I can use my membership there. I told them I had no contract with that location therefore it might be illegal for them to take payments out. The manager mentioned they needed six weeks written notice first which I did right away. Since they already took 4 weeks payments out for the closed club, they still snuck in a double payment before my account was closed. I probably could have argued for a refund but at that point I notified my bank to cancel any further payments and that was the end of it. Left a bad enough taste in my mouth that I would never rejoin even if the north club does open. For those in that similar situation, perhaps some advice from a lawyer would be advised.

Days before the last lockdown I was charged for my membership but since lockdown was going to happen I was told my fee would be credited to me when the gym opens again. Now since the oshawa location is closed I'm not able to go to the remaining location so I requested a refund only to be told there are no refunds.... Thanks for ripping me off and making your problem mine like my money grows on trees.... smfh

I called to ask for a membership the girl picked up and immediately put me on hold. I have now been on hold for 30 minutes. Do not recommend this “business” its a joke at this point. Especially during a pandemic you cannot be so busy you can’t answer a phone. I suggest the teenager in charge should get off of theirs or maybe use it to find a new job. If I could rate it lower I would.

Scammers!!! do not use this gym! cancelled my membership 6 years ago, have the paperwork to prove it. just found out durham ultimate fitness and prolegal have opened an account against me. when I called them out on this I was hung up on by Robert from prolegal and the managers from the gym refuse to contact me. do not use this gym!! Anyone else here interested in filing a civil suit against this gym???

Oshawa location closed and I’m glad they did. Stole money from me 4 years ago and I’m happy to see they’re starting to go out of business. Beware giving these people your money. Learned my lesson the hard way. They will screw you over

They illegally charged me for 6 years after i canceled my account. Then said i never canceled which i did. Cause i dont even live in the area anymore. theyre a fraud business. Absolutely do not give them your bank info
