I'm novice, and John is very patient and kind. He always encourages to explore to reach inner potentials. His lessons are super fun, but you still get so much new tools and techniques each time. Bonus he is flexible to suit busy schedules! Never could have thanked John enough for helping me started on drumming! Highly recommended Drumroll!

He allowed me to explore the different styles and sounds of drums. During the lessons, John has always prepared different exercise handouts which makes the lessons more organized and easy to follow. He always has the patience for my questions, and demonstrates the answers very effectively. His passion and professional skill are one of the many reasons why I pursue drumming.

I was anxious and overwhelmed with the many different training options available, however, I am so so glad I picked Drumroll and John for my first ever lessons! John has been able to guide me through learning the very basics, to reading notes, drumming songs, limb coordination, and drumming ideas. John is extremely patient and can arm you with the tools to learn and build upon each lesson, and challenge you to push your limits. I finished my first 10 lessons with John and have already signed up for 10 more, definitely recommend for drummers of varying expertise and skill! Thanks John for making what was initially very intimidating, fun and exciting!

Before being a student of John's, my upper elementary son has learnt drum for 6 years and passed the grade 6 exam, but started losing his passion and interest in drum. John is nice, patient and knowledgeable. He inspired my son and bring back his interest in drum. He corrected my son's fundamental skills and improved his technique. My son loves going to John's lessons.

John is very experience and knowledgeable that he had no problem picking up from where my son's progress and continue teaching/fixing his fundamental techniques of drumming. He was able to break complicated playing into small chunks for my son to absorb and achieve successful playing. John has a teaching plan and he teaches new things when he thinks you are ready. I feel my son is progressing very fast in these 3 months. Thank you John!

My sons did take some drum class with another teacher in the past, but they don't like that teacher. Great that John can STIMULATE their interest in drum again. John has a lot of EXPERIENCE & PASSION in drum. He has EXPERIENCE IN EACHING KIDS in the way that kids can understand easily. Of course, John has a lot of PATIENCE with my boys. The teaching MATERIAL is wonderful as the class will be more STRUCTURED. My kids can listen to the next songs & prepare a little bit before the class. That's is great learning experience for the kids as well. My kids love that they can be FILMED, so that they can share videos with their friends to show their progress. In this way, my kids have incentive to practice more !!

Before I met him I had never practiced the drum, and I thought it was boring. when I meet john I think drum is very fun instrument, and I love it. if you want to learn drum he will be your best choice.

We have excellent communication on what I want to try/learn, and he deliveries the quality I expected. In addition, he teaches with his acoustic drum sets, which makes the experience much more fun!
