I study music professionally as an Operatic soprano and wanted to be able to accompany myself on piano with her help. She is caring, compassionate and intelligent. She has helped me to progress far beyond what was possible for me during COVID by telling me just to play for fun for the year and enjoy the music.

a student of Dr. Yoana(from 6 years old until now 11). My daughter has continually won top prizes in many international competitions since 8years old. You can search Demi Alba's amazing performance on YouTube. That's even louder than my words. I am so proud we have her as our piano teacher.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yoana is the best piano teacher I've found. My 12 year old son was having difficulty learning piano with another teacher about 2 years ago. After struggling, he since stop learning piano. Since we found Yoana, my son loves playing piano for fun, and even got 90+ mark in his RCM exam. We very appreciated Yoana's efforts and professionalism. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Kyurkchieva is the most wonderful piano teacher in Edmonton. She always starts off a lesson with a friendly and positive attitude. During each class, Yoana meticulously instructs my daughters. She is reliable and very knowledgeable.
Not only is her teaching exceptional, her playing is also full of emotion and inspiration. Dr. Kyurkchieva always leaves both my daughters excited for the next class.
She is definitely a go-to music teacher.

I tried to teach myself because I thought piano could be self taught, and also because I came with a lot musical experience since I learned keyboard and woodwind when I was a kid; I soon realized that I was wrong if I’m serious about developing professional piano playing skills.
In my past year’s experience with Yoana I can tell she is very professional, she not only corrected tons of bad habits I developed but also always focus on important and subtle details that I was never aware of. I have made a significant progress in the past year and I will be her long term student. If you are also learning how to play the piano I would highly recommend Yoana. I believe she definitely has something for you and will bring your piano playing to a whole new level.
