Shannon (she/her) loves food.
With degrees in nutrition (B.Sc.) and food science (B.Sc., M.Sc. And Ph.D), and as an experienced food scientist who assists food and food ingredient companies solve problems, Shannon links technical solutions with strategy and leadership.
In addition to her doctorate, Shannon earned an MBA to sharpen her skills in the business of science. She served as the Vice President of Innovation and Technology at the Saskatchewan Food Industry Development Centre, Inc., leading technical teams in innovation and product development for nearly a decade. She is passionate about agriculture and the role food plays in health, community, family, and entertainment. Outside of her profession, family and sport plays an integral part of her life. Shannon loves to be outside, and enjoys cycling, hiking, skiing or backpacking.
