Horrible experience worst client services I have ever experiences. DO NOT GO HERE receptionist is extremely unprofessional hung up on me as I was asking questions.

I had my first colonoscopy today and was very nervous. His bedside manor is incredible he makes you feel at ease and is very genuine. The whole procedure went well Dr Makar and staff are fantastic. Thank you

Dr. Makar is a terrible doctor he ruined my life by herniating my stomach when doing the endoscopy procedure. Never trust this doctor and he will fake his reports. I have proof that he did this to me and they are looking into it.

Dr. Makar is not only a great doctor, but a great human being who genuinely cares about everyone. I would give him 5 stars in every category whether it's skills or bed side manners. I am very thankful to my family doctor for referring me to him during the time of stress as he was very helpful and very understanding.

My father-in-law was diagnosed with colon cancer on December 12th. Dr. Makar performed a surgery immediately for him on December 24th, which went successfully. He came to see my father-in-law multiple times at the hospital after surgery. He is a great surgeon and is also very kind, thorough, and responsible. Our family are grateful! His receptionist Heather is also nice and helpful.

Dr Makar removed my gall bladder. He is a very sweet, dedicated, soft spoken man who is loved by staff and patients alike. He listened to what I wanted, never rushed me. The surgery was quick and when I asked, I was even allowed to go home the same day. I recommend Dr Makar.

Terrifying experience EVLT in Dec/20 I was having circulation concerns and my toes turning black. He refused to see me about my concerns. I had to seek medical attention at the ER and with another DR who did not do the EVLT> He got my money at thats all he cared about didnt care to see me about how was doing post procedure. Receptionist is very mean and cruel when she speaks to you. Very unkind on the phone. The Dr should of followed up with my concerns so he can monitor me. Very poor care, very unprofessional and not best practice. He charges you for your ultrasound which is FREE by OHIP. He did not do a proper vascular ultrasound which requires you to fast for 6 hours and have a full vascular from head to toe. He is only looking to make a quick buck and didnt care about my poor circulation in my leg or foot. I was emotionally traumatized about this entire issue. I didnt deserve to be ill treated as a patient. He didnt not as a Dr follow his ethics and professionalism as a DR. Nobody even cared that I was scared just wanted my money and out the door. The lack of care after the procedure was very upsetting. He failed to listen to my concern as a patient. Its was frightening experience to go through alone. All he wanted was his $3000 and out the door and your not my problem. I could no longer work in my job after the procedure. I am suffered alot of pain, feeling of someone sticking needles in the calf and thigh. It was determined I sustained nerve damage to my lower leg which will take a long time to heal. I am so horribly shaken by this procedure. to everyone getting a EVLT ensure you go see a VASCULAR surgeon not a quack general surgeon who was grandfathered in to make money. They have a nice little business running in the office between him and his assistant nurse. Thank god I found another DR to ensure I receive the best care until I fully heal. Some days it feels like someone is pulling my vein out of my leg. Be aware of how you are treated by a DR and his staff that tells you alot about who they are. Dear Receptionist what goes around comes around your are so mean to people in the health care profession shame on you.

Didn't have a good experience when I went to see this Doctor. Expecting him to hear me and make me understand about the issue and what and how it will be surgically corrected, all this doctor had to tell were 4-5 standard lines (like a pre recorded message). No empathy shown, didn't want to hear the questions and had no clear answers. Please also note that if your family doctor refers you to such doctors then they are surely getting a cut. I am not getting any treatment from this doctor. Very unprofessional doctor and kicked me out in just 2 mins.....yes 2 mins.
