Her behaviour was disgusting, did not listen to the patient and proceeded to walk out of the room while sighing and rolling her eyes, after my sister in laws husband explained that my sister in law would need assistance in translation as english is not her first language. She discriminated against her patient, for not speaking english.

The pain I deal with on a daily basis can be quite intense so I had been looking forward to my appointment. I filled out a 10 page document about my TMJ pain, I was taken for xrays, then an exam by the specialist. After the exam I was then told to change my job, as I talk to much, try botox which I would have to pay for out of pocket for, and or try another night guard. They got their $370.00 worth out of me, and I left the appointment with no answers or help. While the specialist was nice, I was not given a treatment plan, shown my x-rays, or given any information as to why my TMJ and symptoms are so brutal. I was provided no new information on anything to do with my TMJ. If you or yours are recommended to see this particular specialist, I would highly advise against it as my own research has provided me more insight. It was a waste of my benefits, time and I gained nothing.

The pain and symptoms impacted my daily life and put strain on our family. From the first visit I connected and felt safe with Dr. Hernandez. She made it her personal goal to help me heal and regain the quality life I once had. It was only natural for me to return for her help after my recent accident. I have been experiencing horrible pain and pressure in my neck and jaw, Dr. Hernandez combined multiple treatments to finally break the pain cycle I have been dealing with, providing me with some much needed relief. Without hesitation I would highly recommend Dr. Hernandez and her awesome team to anyone who is dealing with Orofacial pain or TMD issues.

She was honest about options and did not push me toward unnecessary treatment, which I have experienced from others. I give 4 stars only because some of the customer service seemed rushed but aside from that I have nothing but good words about this clinic

I cannot thank her enough for her assistance and the oral appliance she recommended but especially for her honesty and integrity when she evaluated me and recommended a solution. She is great as a person and as a professional and her staff is wonderful. From the moment you book an appointment with Amy, the amazing receptionist, you will have an idea about the people and the service you are going to find in this office. I also recommended Dr. Hernandez to my son, and they were very patient and accommodating according to his work schedule. Thank you very much Dr. Hernandez and your team for all you did for us.
M	M F on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ignore the negative reviews here folks. I have been seeing Dr. Hernandez for TMJ issues. Her office has always been nice, polite and courteous. I've had zero issues after multiple sessions. Please take into account where her office is. Downtown Edmonton is a hole and there is a totally different clientelle there. During my visits, I often hear people whining about fees, not wanting to pay that day (pay later) etc. People need to bear in mind that this is a business. Dr. Hernandez' fees are very reasonable compared to some other TMJ specialists in the city (I've seen two others who charge about 40-50% more than Dr. Hernandez.) You can't expect something for nothing these days... I wrote this review, because I feel that those who are whining on here are giving an unjust review. Go see her in person. She makes me laugh every time.

The receptionist has so much attitude doesn’t know how to deal with the clients & doesn’t know how to respond or help the clients. They will hang up on you & not answer the phone. Very very disgusted by the receptionists behaviour & the way she handled my call.

Her office wanted more then insurance would pay for a consult and splint so I paid $200 out of pocket. The splint was fine, no issues. I went back for a check up and it was grinded down a bit. I went back another time, paid for parking and sat there for 45 minutes without being seen. I had to leave for physio in St. Albert and as I leave there I see her and staff standing there chatting, 30 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start. I told the receptionist that this is nothing against the staff there but I will no longer be coming back to the office. A while later I get a cheque in the mail for the extra money I had to pay out of pocket and an apology letter. Like some of the reviews said, she only cares about the bottom dollar and not about actual dental care. I called Aviva auto insurance and made sure they were not billed for her non appointment. Please avoid any places that abuse the system because of insurance, but unfortunately it seems very prominent in the dental world.
