Dr.Clarke Kevin

Dr Clarke helped my young son regain his health. He and his staff have supported our family with professionalism and compassion. Dr Clarke has great bedside manner and explains procedures very well.

My special needs child has been with Dr. Kevin Clarke since 2009 thereabouts and Dr. Clarke has performed twice now the tube surgery for my child's ears to clear off moist collection for better hearing. My experience is that Dr. Clarke is great with kids and the surgery went on well and my girl's hearing, screened by Public Health hearing tests, has shown important milestones in hearing improvement as her special needs meant that she had very small ear canals that tends to collect moisture and clogs so this was a great help from the doctor. At what time on the surgery, I noted that the doctor had to performed a hundred surgeries that day alone! There is a huge lack of awesome ENT doctors (as in all specialization) and patients, if there are times when we get a happy face and at times not, I feel we too need to understand the amount of patients our doctors have to see daily, especially if they are also the surgeons on duty with a major hospital as is the case for Dr. Kevin Clarke. Yes, there are times where the consultation is very short and brief but for my little girl, that's about it, after surgery, regular 6- 8 months check to make sure the ears are doing fine and the hearing is improving - that's the deal so no lengthy process for her (unless surgery etc). Strangely, looking at the comments I did not find the Admin staff particularly obnoxious, I found that they were serious, yes, because they were on the job and acted just that on the job and working and was neither rude nor smiley, but not aggressive at all. I agree doctors could be friendlier and that may be a systemic stress thing where there are too few doctors for too many patients as the brevity seems to be the same for the eye doctor of my girl - wait 20 mins, consult 10 mins, sometimes less, sometimes more. For Dr. Clarke, at least there is quite a good flow and one needs not wait too long. Mostly, he knows his stuff and that is the medical we are seeking. Saw him 3 times for my son. The only questions he asked were “do you play sports” each time we visited. My son does not. Very unusual and never found out what is causing his throat issues. Spent 2 minutes for each appointment. Waste of our time. Currently waiting for a different ENT. Also he stated that my son probably just needs his tonsils out.... they were taken out about 8 years ago! Don’t waste your time.

I had a biopsy done, and then a follow up, Dr told me nothing was wrong. I was in his office for 2 minutes, and even the others in the waiting room were like "wow this guy Is quick." I had a funny feeling, so I went to see another ENT doctor, and the same biopsy results came back, and from what I gather it was pretty serious, and am needing surgery ASAP, after doctor Clarke told me I'm fine. I was thinking maybe it was my tonsils, because I had gotten diagnosed with acute tonsillitis in emergency one day, and so I spoke to the Dr about getting my tonsils out, and he said that he didn't want to do it, but it's my choice because "You're an adult and you can make your own choices" I felt he said it a condescending way. I am seeing a doctor for their PROFESSION MEDICAL ADVICE.

Reception was good but here's the thing, my nose has completly eaten (for lack of a better word) and the person who books invasive surgery did not give me a date when I was at the clinic. This is serious, I can't wait any longer for it to be taken out. There is no e-mail to contact them during a weekend, why? They don't check answering machines a well, thats not ok. I need this to happen immediately or else I am screwed. They are taking this way too lightly! They told me I will be knocked out, like come on guys. Figure this out better. I know you have the resources to have this done a lot faster.

I was trying to reschedule an appointment and saw dr Clarke rating was a 3... so I wanted a look at the reviews And saw disparaging remarks about his staff and him So his staff have always been great. I’ve had to move appointments and got lost with the gps and was late. and no rude talk.. she’s lovely .... opposite always very kind. I will say my appointments are a routine follow up so I can’t weigh in on dr to dr analysis but I’ve worked with drs and their staff as a social worker. I’m also a vocalist... and have had ear troubles my whole life. He’s a great dr and his staff are great in my opinion. I would trust him and my ability to sing and hear with my life. I’m sorry for anyone that didn’t get the opinion they wanted but I highly recommend him.

Dr. Clark did surgery to correct a deviated septum 2 years ago. I have had pain in face, nose, and daily headaches ever since as the surgery caused a further deviated septum. Further appointments were futile, doesn't even close the door, just gets me out as quick as possible - says not his problem. Don't recommend him at all.

Joanne has the rare ability to blend a professional manner with a personal touch! Dr. Clarke is responsive to my concerns and takes time to educate me about medical protocol. I appreciate the quality of care and support provided by their office. During a period of challenge, thank you for your constancy and positivity!
