Dr. Abbas Naqvi - Cold Lake

I think Dr Naqvi seems like a great dentist, BUT my only disappointment was paying for 2 units of consultation, when I had booked myself in for Composite bonding. He charged me this fee for an invisalign consultation - when I had clearly voiced I wanted Composite bonding. I had to lay there for what felt like 30 minutes while he scanned my teeth into a machine that shows you how *invisalign* can help you (which by the way moved my front teeth to the far right so it looks so stupid it wasn't even tempting), had I known that was what he was doing I would have said excuse me, I don't want this! I felt this was a shady way to add on an extra charge which by the way was not covered by my insurance. From this one experience I can say I probably wouldn't go back, his personality was great and he was calming and reassuring but I felt very tricked into paying for something I did not need/want, as well as pressured into something I clearly stated I did not want and could not afford.

This is an overdue THANK YOU and shout out review for Dr. Naqvi and staff. How many people can say with all sincerity that they LOVE their dentist? Dr. Naqvi's humor, gentle approach, and genuine care for his patients is something truly special. Dr. Naqvi has navigated the dental care of my (at the time) 2 year old daughter with tender loving care and concern as she required surgery with a specialized children's team in Edmonton. Both of my children love going for dental check-ups; even my shy youngest who's undergone surgery has no qualms about it! Dr. Naqvi has even engaged my children in my appointments they've at times come along to, aiding in giving Mommy a check-up. The quality of care is truly engaging and genuine. I myself had specific dental issues dating back to childhood two teeth (still baby teeth) now as an adult, one requiring a solution following development of an internal cavity. Not only did Dr. Naqvi's keen staff detect this issue before it intensified; Dr. Naqvi assisted in suggesting a cohesive plan that was least intrusive (no implants, root canals, etc), but resulting in an overall improved bite / functioning of my jaw (significantly less pain from jaw clenching due to a miss-aligned bite). By having two teeth extracted, then following with Invisiline liners, dental issues that I'd incurred since childhood were corrected (with the MAJOR bonus of an improved smile). The cost associated with Invisiline was proactive in my view as compiling dental issues were cohesively addressed, preventing more intrusive and likely ongoing and more intrusive treatment in the years ahead leading to less function and additional cost overall, without the benefit of all the improvements Invisiline has made. I found Dr. Naqvi to be very transparent and honest in regards to cost considerations, and in fact feel he suggests proactive measure where other procedures may in fact be the higher billing; I feel confident Dr. Naqvi puts his patient's needs as his highest consideration. Dr. Naqvi's staff worked with my schedule throughout the process of using liners, and were supportive of any concerns I had throughout. Dr. Naqvi was encouraging; and I grew to know him and his staff during regular visits to the clinic thorough my Invisilne experience. I've been enjoying my MUCH improved clench / bite and functioning, along with my new smile for the past several months. The only downside is I'm not in the clinic regularly as I was during the process of Invisiline to say "hi" to Dr. Naqvi and his staff. Dr. Naqvi, you've truly improved my quality of life via my dental functioning and appearance. Love going to see Dr. Naqvi!! Staff are great, knowledgeable and fantastic with children and anyone with a fear!! My 3 year old has requested to go back the next day and both my girls' were singing we love the dentist before their appointment today.

Absolutely fantastic experience at this office!!! I’ve always been extremely nervous to have dental work done because of painful experiences in the past. This was my first visit to Dr. Naqvi and he made me feel very comfortable and safe getting my teeth taken care of. I was shaking and full of anxiety and he talked me through everything and made sure I was ready for the procedure before starting anything. I was very surprised to have a pain free extraction! Very professional and knowledgeable with wonderful staff, I was booked in very quickly and felt the whole staff made sure to look after me, I will definitely be going back and will definitely bring my children to see Dr. Naqvi aswell!! Highly recommend
