★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very impressed by Peter and his team when seeking a mortgage for a non typical scenario. They were knowledgeable, helpful, polite and were a pleasure to work with. In the end I didn’t go with the mortgage solution they presented as my own bank offered a better rate but even though I believe they could have charged me for certain fees, like the appraisal fee, and I would have been ok paying it, they waived or possibly even paid the fees themselves. They said it was part of their commitment to service excellence. So we certainly had nothing to loose by exploring the option and I would recommend them to others.

We were essentially clueless about the process when we first approached Peter about applying for a mortgage for our first house together. He explained the process in a simple, understandable way, and we were preapproved for our mortgage very quickly, and were guaranteed a low 5 year fixed rate! Peter recommended a great, experienced realtor for us to work with in our house search. When our offer on our house was accepted, the mortgage was finalized within a couple of days. Peter is well known among realtors for his firm's accuracy and efficiency, and consequently we were able to guarantee a very short deadline for completing our financing condition in our offer, which I think was one of the reasons our offer was accepted over several others in a tough sellers market. Throughout the process, we would occasionally email Mainstream Mortgages with questions, and they replied right away. I highly recommend Peter Paley and his firm to anyone thinking of applying for a mortgage or refinancing a mortgage.
