I have given Dolce Chocolate Co. and the owner Cesario multiple opportunities to discuss my dissatisfaction with the quality of his chocolates, and the complete disregard of professionalism that I have received. I originally sampled Dolce chocolates at the January Toronto International Gift Show at their booth, I was looking for a premium chocolate to offer in my three flower shops. When I spoke with a sales representative at the show I was lead to believe that chocolates were hand crafted at their facility in the Greater Toronto Area. What attracted me to this particular company was their packaging, and it was beautifully presented. Once returning from the gift show we made several attempts to confirm our custom order to ensure delivery before Valentine's Day. We ran into many road blocks with simple correspondence with the company. We proceeded with our order, and received our shipment three days prior to Valentine's day. Our first impression of our custom chocolate was very disappointing. Given the packaging was beautiful, but once viewed the contents in the box; there was melted chocolate that had smeared on the cellophane, the chocolate bark was turning dusty white in color, and the variety of different chocolate all looked and tasted like bulk barn quality product. Our clients are used to us carrying a higher-end, quality products. We refuse to sell these chocolates. We have proceeded to reach out to the owner Cesario. After weeks of several emails and phone calls our complaint was passed down to the receptionist who was unable to make any executive decisions, although she tried her best and understood our situation. No resolution has been reached. We were not compensated. We were not offered any return option on this less than poor quality chocolate. I feel like this is a bate and switch company and I would not recommend trusting them with your business.
