Dogtopia of Douglas Glen

Brought my two dogs (American Bullies) here today for a seemingly easy nail trim. I explained to the woman that my older dog has a right hind knee injury and does not like to be touched there so expect a bit of resilience from her. I was watching through the window of the outside reception area and witnessed this “groomer” forcefully grabbing my dogs rear hind and bending it in ways that I explained would cause my dog discomfort. As you would expect my dog did not like this and reacted in a howl/yelp and nipped at the collar that was holding her head steady. The groomer then proceeded to grab my dogs ear and pull it towards the table to restrict my dogs movement once more. I asked the receptionist to please go get my dog as I did not want this woman abusing my dog any further. Once she brought my dog out I asked if she thought that what she was doing was professional and acceptable. She mentioned it was to keep her and my dog safe. And then proceeded to tell me that my dog was dangerous. And then said that she would know more about dogs than I ever would. As you can expect I did not take this lightly and we got quite heated, in which she recommended I leave my name and number so she could contact her lawyer. This will be the last time I ever bring my dogs here and I recommend to everyone else to stay away as well..

Our dog is always excited to go to Dogtopia and is always tuckered out when she returns. The staff have always been very accommodating (despite my particularly picky partner). We picked this location because it is close, but we stayed because of the excellent service.

Dogtopia Douglas Glen is amazing! My one Dog is a Heeler-Corgi mixed she was very Shy when we got at 6 months old, we started to bring her to Dogtopia with our other dog. She been going for about 6-7 months, I have to say she a completely different dog she come out of her shell not shy around other dogs or people anymore. I have to say a big thank you to Dogtopia for helping Bailey come over her Shyness. The best part is they would keep me updated with her progress every time during pick up ,which helped with my anxiety also. All the Staff is Wonderful !

Not everyone reads long google reviews so I will split this into two Short review: 1. 10/10 would recommend 2. Tired puppy after daycare 3. Safe environment; even left my puppy here for almost 3 weeks 4. Personalized service; all staff are SUPER friendly, knows our name (pup and owner) and greets us with smiles every single time 5. Went to a different (not dogtopia) daycare (due to their neuter policy and neuter schedule of my pup) and the service was not even close to Dogtopia Douglasglen 6. Been taking my pup here since he was 5 months old 7. All staff really loves all the puppies and gives them so much attention and love, which we can vet through the cameras Long review: I’ve been taking my pup here since he was 5 months old and their service has been top notch. I have a lab puppy and all lab owners know that they NEVER get tired, but he is so tired by the time we pick him up from daycare that he sleeps through the car ride and after his meal at home. All the staff knows their clients, both pup and human, by name and greets them with joy as soon as you park in the parking lot. I had to go to a different daycare facility a few months ago (not dogtopia) because my pup was neutered a bit older than what their policy states, and my experience there was not even close to our experience here (the staff on the other one does not seem to be happy to see their clients and never greeted us with the same excitement we felt in this facility); and I was so glad when I am able to take my pup back here. All the staff are really friendly and we can really tell they love dogs. We recently went outside the country and felt confident when we left our pup here for almost 3 weeks that he will be safe and cared for. Everyone from the team made sure that my pup is ready months before his long stay. The manager even gave us her personal contact information so we can reach out to her anytime about our puppy; we also got pictures from the team through instagram and saw that our puppy was having a blast! This has been my pup’s happy place that he gets really excited when he notices we are at their parking lot; we even called this facility as our dog’s disneyland. If i can rate them more than 5 stars, I honestly would. 10/10 would recommend. Pictures are from his first daycare and a recent one

We started taking out 9 month old puppy to Dogtopia a month ago. The staff are fantastic and the facility is really clean. Our dog had an incident with another dog and it was handled very politely and professionally. Emily and her team are awesome and we are excited to come back in the New Year.

We have loved Dogtopia Douglas Glen from day one, they have been there from day one when we got Rosie as a puppy and kept her socialized with other dogs, to a year down the road being a place for her to play while we expanded our family, to moving away and back again making us feel like no time had passed. The staff are the most lovely people that pay attention to detail, are friendly and reliable and I know my dog is in good hands always.

We ? Dogtopia so much!!! Our pup goes here for daycare, boarding, and the occasional seasonal grooming! She comes home completely tuckered after a full day of fun and play - and being able to check in on the phone is awesome. I have had amazing experiences with all staff members, it is very evident that they all love and care for the animals they see each day! Can’t thank all of them enough for treating our Luna like their own! See attached photo of the post-groomed pup sent to me by a staff member to let me know how well she did!

It was our first time visiting Dogtopia and wow! They did an amazing job with our 9 yr old guy today. I forgot to mention to trim his ear short, but the groomers did it! He had a few negative experiences at other groomers in the past not listening to how we like his cut - so happy we don’t have to worry about that anymore. So perfect!! I definitely recommend bringing your pup here. Thank you to the groomers who took care of Dash!
