Great hike for all ages, and varying size pets! 'Easy', so long as you're comfortable with uneven terrain. There are tree roots, varying sized rocks throughout. Finish up with a nice view!

Somewhat difficult... your dog needs to be in good shape to do this. Lots of ups and downs, uneven paths, rocks to climb up and down but the view is worth it! I'd say this is easier the the GRIND, and harder then quarry rock - that's my reference. Bring lots of water, no hose or drinkable water up there.

Easy/intermediate hike with lots of rocks and roots. Hiking pole recommended for older people as it's hard to balance in areas. Can be slippery after raining but amazing view at the top! Lots of parking on mt. Seymour parking lot weekdays.

Beautiful pretty easy trail. Bring microspikes in the winter! Snow shoes were a bit much for some folks and they ended up carrying them.

Trail conditions: all packed snow, a bit of slush so can be slippery if there is an incline. best with microspikes. Minimal elevation, 2hours return not including break at viewpoint. Pretty busy on weekends, arrive early to get a closer parking spot! Well marked. Driving conditions: roads were all clear, no snow on the ground. Any car would make it up although you'll need at least m+s according to public guidelines Parking: closest lot is P5 (free, need to reserve on bcparks website). There are 2 trailheads. One near P5 with a small sign saying it's 700m long and connects to the main trailhead. Main trailhead starts near the ski slopes, at the end of P4.

One of my favorite hikes to date, you get to walk through the mountain, see the winter ecosystem and get to the top where the view is so nautral and gorgeous. I found this hike easy and recommended people who have little time but want a view on the city and mountains. It was breathe taking. We highly recommend to get free tickets on bc parks before arriving. Much more simple.

Such a scenic view from the top of Dog Mountain. The trail.is about a 5km out and back trail. We hiked in the winter so there was quite a bit of snow. It's a busy trail with lots of human traffic.

Great hike! Photo taken summer 2019. It was nice warm weather. Dog can able to do the hike but be careful on some branches on the way that can trip over you and some rocks might be slippery. View is stunning and rewarding! We did for 2hours round trip in dry summer weather. It might be dificult in winter time as the snow makes you slow to walk.
