Wished I read the comments before renting from this place. Rented 15 chairs and when I returned them I was told I couldn’t get my refund until the owner was present. Later I get a call saying 4 of the chairs were not theirs so obviously they kept my deposit. Never!! Going there again. Such bad service

Discount party rental place offers many choices for all your party essential needs at competitive prices, however their customer service is very POOR. The owner of the shop (I believe his name is Jag Mahal - an older gentlemen) has no sense of talking to his customers. He is very arrogant with no sense of empathy. If you ask him a legitimate question, get ready to be ridiculed. He needs to understand that not everyone is knowledgeable about the things he rents out and how they work. Instead of mocking the customer, he needs to use the opportunity to educate them in a productive way. Along with other things, I rented a speaker system with mikes from DPR. When Jag’s men delivered the rented stuff to our house, I asked them to show me how to hook up the speakers and mikes to the amplifier. But they said that their job is to just deliver the stuff that they don’t have knowledge about setting up the system, one guy mumbled that it’s easy two wires to the front and two on the back. On the day of the function, the speaker system failed to function properly and one of the mikes was also defective. We had a live band playing but the defective speaker system ruined the taste of music for all my guests. Jag was made aware of this situation, yet he still ended up charging me the full price for his equipment. Which goes to show that he has no regard for customer satisfaction. I would encourage you to explore other avenues when it comes to your party needs.

This business is awesome! From the young guy who obviously helps with the family business to the older lady who knows her stuff....this place rocks!

Prices are not really 'discount', more like average. But the one star review is because of the TERRIBLE customer service. We rented some 'sheers' to put up as backdrops and they were filthy. When I asked for my money back, the owner had the gall to say that he can't be responsible for his employees who don't always do a good job. If you can rent elsewhere, I would recommend doing so.

Worst customer service ever. I would love to give them a 0 if possible. Man who answered the phone was extremely rude. Ordered some glass wear and it was still dirty when we unpackaged. We had to rewash everything right before an event. Waste of time and money dealing with this business. The prices are not "discount". You're better off looking elsewhere. The building itself is disgusting and grungy with a ton of safety hazards.

Never have I had such poor customer service. I would give a 0 if possible. The guy who answers the phone is short, told me to "hold my horses" and then hung up on me. I have worked in customer service for 10+ years and would NEVER speak to a customer the way he spoke to me.' We had rented 100+ martini glasses and returned them on time. At the time of return I realized we were missing 2 glasses and told the girl who helped return them I would look for them at work. I found the missing glasses after 2 days and called to let them know I could drop them off. The owner said he has already charged me for the missing glasses and I asked if he could refund the charge since it had only been 2 days and I told his staff that I would look to find them. I understand we were late getting those 2 glasses back to him but honestly 2 glasses missing for 2 days (not ever broken) should not be a deal breaker. He said it was "too much work" to refund the charge. It's $10.00 not a huge amount I could really care less about the refund not happening but honestly someone who treats and speaks to customers like that should NOT be in business. My company will no longer be using their services and I will make sure to tell others not to bother either.
