About Dingwall Medical Group

Our History

Dr. Donald Grant Dingwall was born in Glengary County near Lancaster Ontario on the sixth of October 1882. He graduated from Queens University Faculty of Medicine in 1906 and worked as a construction camp doctor for the Grand Trunk Railway, now the C.N.R., between Wabigoon and Quibell. In 1910 he did post graduate work in London, England and returned to Dryden in 1911 where he set up practice with Dr. Blair. They were joined by Dr. Morrison in later years. Dr. Bill Wigle joined Dr. Dingwall in the fall of 1949 in his offices above the Dryden Pharmacy. They were subsequently joined by Dr. W. G. Cameron in the spring of 1951. This group constructed the Dingwall Clinic at 56 King Street, which opened in the fall of 1954 providing office space for the above named, plus Dr. Knox. The first hospital facility in Dryden was provided by Dr. Dingwall who had beds in his own home for sick patients.

Dr. Dingwall retired from practice in 1967 and died in the Dryden District General Hospital on the tenth of September 1972.

His name is remembered and his tradition of service is honoured today by the Physicians bearing the name Dingwall Medical Group.

Apparently your ex faking a miscarriage and blaming it on you isn't abuse but there's flyers everywhere for helping women being abused.

Very hard to get an appointment. I know this is because we're a small town with a doctor shortage, but there's got to be something they can do about making it easier to get an appointment. They only book 2 weeks ahead of time, and if you're not one of the first callers at 9am, or sitting in the lobby at 8:50am, you're not going to get an appointment.

Stuck on hold for over 20 mins just to be told my doctor is already booked. I called 2 mins after opening hours! Maybe I should have called 2 mins sooner smh.

no one answers the phone, i tried every dept, every doctor, no place to leave messages, i cant even imagine elderly people trying to call about referrals to another hospital, it would be nice to actually have a main secretary that would take important calls. i think the doctors and staff are amazing, but to actually get a hold of someone to do other important for out of town appointments is extremely frustrating

I had a family member encounter a serious medical ethical concern with this clinic staff and, as a health practitioner myself, I've never encountered such dismissive and unprofessional communication with regards to the situation. This would not be tolerated behaviour in any medical environment I have ever worked and I believe it breaches the codes of ethics. Horrendous and judgmental customer 'service.'

He is the most caring and considerate doctor I’ve had since Dr Cortens! He listens, he understands and he acts. Without him I don’t know where I’d be. I wanna say I love him!
