About Diamond House | Golden Health Care Inc.
Each cluster has its own kitchen, dining room, living room and therapeutic tub room to provide an environment in which residents are familiar and comfortable, and the opportunity for a range of activities (cooking, baking, laundry, exercise) typically found in homes. In addition, clustering eliminates the long corridors, centralized nursing stations and one large dining room and day room, all of which are components that create an institutional-looking environment. Instead, residents have a short walk to their kitchen, dining room and living room. This small living arrangement decreases noise and confusion and provides a therapeutic environment for residents.
Golden Health Care designs the environments to reinforce the sense of home for each and every resident. We want the home’s design to support the residents to function at their best, to participate, and to find value in living and in themselves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unsure how to rate this place. On one hand, I've observed good care for the aged clients. On the other hand, there is very little by way of stimulation. Perhaps that is all that can be expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor management. Promises made but never kept. Under staffed. Meals are very simple and same menu repeated too often. Rarely any fresh vegetables if any at all. Residents left alone for long periods of time with no interaction.

To the best of my knowledge, you have never approached myself (Kelvin) personally or any other member of our staff with your concerns. I have made every attempt possible to contact you so we can discuss your concerns and see how we might be able to address them. I have called every one of our residents family members to hopefully get a contact number for you, however every family member I have contacted of all our male residents say they have no nephew by the name of Jeff Klassen. If you are reading this, I would like to extend a very warm and welcome invitation to you contact me directly so we can discuss your concerns more in detail, and should any of your concerns be valid, we can work at correcting what we do as it relates to your uncle's care.

Yes it is a nice building but the quality of service the senior receive is terrible, the place is so understaffed that the place does not get cleaned properly. My Uncle lives there and everything that we were told was a lie, the manager Kelvin promised great meals and one on one care if needed and that never happens. The meals are terrible most of the time from what I’ve heard and the personal care does not happen like it was supposed to. My biggest problem with that place is the management. It seems they tell you what you want to here to get you to move in your loved one and take your money but that’s it. I’ve heard there have been incidents when people were left in their dirty depends for hours and no one changed them. We are currently looking for a different place to put my uncle. All I know is they sweet talk you and boy can he sweet talk you but they definitely don’t give you what they promise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mother is a resident at Diamond House and she could not be happier. The care is outstanding and she is very happy. There is always a nurse or care aide in very close proximity of my mom, which gives her peace of mind. She enjoys the meals and is very happy and content with the environment and the skilled, friendly, helpful and caring staff. As well, there is an indoor greenhouse which she enjoys immensely, an art room, games/puzzle room, fitness room and plenty of room to go for a long walks, and lots of lounge areas to watch a show or movie. Other residents have been very welcoming to her and she is enjoying the conversations. As well, staff are very good with engaging with my mom and checks on her often. I visit with my mom everyday and see for myself how wonderful this place is. Highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Dad has been a resident since December 2016. He loves it there! When we visit Dad the staff always makes us feel welcome! They always have a smile on their face. Some of the staff even sing :) The place is always clean. The times that we have joined Dad for supper with everyone - the food has been great! I love the way they treat my Dad with respect and they genuinely care for him. They tease him and give him a hard time which he loves. I also appreciate the play area for the kids - it keeps them happy and quiet! Huge huge thank you to the staff for making my Dad and us feel like at home!
