met the program manager for autism therapy through our walk in clinic and she was so pleasant to speak with. she dedicated much of her time to see how they could help my twin girls and has clearly explained how the process will work when we can financially fund the therapy. and is very detailed in her responses to my questions regarding the autism diagnosis. great professionalism with our family and I feel very comfortable moving forward with the behaviour autism therapy team here when we can fund the therapy.

I had a very positive experience with Lucy and developing hands. They are very experienced and really care about the children they are helping. Lucy has given me great advice on how to deal with certain common children’s behaviours. I highly recommend her and her team!

I am a kindergarten teacher and am often asked how to help children improve their writing skills and abilities. As an aside, I met Lucille when I taught her eldest child years ago. I believe she taught me more than I taught him! You are never too old to learn something new and Lucille's guidance, assistance, knowledge and expertise (through her passion for writing and her business, Developing hands) has enhanced my teaching abilities. It is so important for children to have the confidence to excel in writing and language! Developing hands, its owners and workers, are dedicated to making children writing champions! This is and amazing thing!

My son has been seeing an occupational therapist and physiotherapist at Developing Hands and I am over the moon with the people and services I’ve been given. Genuine, sincere and truly caring people are so important in this field. I am so impressed with their professionalism and dedication to helping people. I was quickly drawn to Developing Hands right after my first conversation with Mary, the Manager. She was welcoming, kind, patient, and didn’t mind answering my million questions! I am so grateful and excited to continue to work with Developing Hands

I had the opportunity to attend a workshop led by Lucille Shenouda. She gave extremely valuable insight into the world of Occupational Therapy, and specifically on how to work with students in the classroom on their fine motor skills. She provided us with a variety of activities, games, and other ideas to help students achieve proper letter formation, self-care skills, and other fine motor milestones. She even went above and beyond to give each teacher a box full of sample activities and posture correction pencil grips. She took the time to answer our questions and was extremely kind and professional.

Developing hands has helped us in assisting our child achieve her milestones earlier than expected for her age group. I've had a few in depth conversations with the owner herself and she's a wealth of knowledge. We went through topics such as physical, speech and mental development over various sessions and she taught us how to deal with things such as delayed crawling to temper tantrums before they even happen. We felt confident and well prepared for what's to come thanks to them. After following their advice, we now have a well tempered toddler and barely had to go through any temper tantrums thanks to their advice. Would highly recommend a few sessions to ask questions even before you give birth. Very knowledgeable staff, very accommodating and most of all very helpful.

Lucille at developing hands is wonderful! She helped assess my 5 year old son’s pencil grip and penmanship so we can make adjustments early on in his development. She provided easy and fun strategies to practice fine motor skills with my kids at home. She is kind, caring, and patient. My son was so comfortable during the whole assessment; he thought it was fun play, and asked to come back! The clinic is clean and welcoming! Would highly recommended this clinic, it’s the only OT place I would take my kids.

I had used the services of Developing hands at the beginning of this year for speech therapy for my daughter. The experience was very pleasant starting with the office manager to the actual speech therapist. The office manager was extremely professional and listened to my needs, explained the process clearly and connected me with Candice, the therapist. I had done at home therapy and Candice was always punctual and pleasant. Candice was very knowledgeable and had a great talent for getting my then shy 2 year old to respond to her therapy. She was very honest about her opinion regarding my daughter treatment and never pushed me to continue therapy. In fact she was very clear that my daughter was not far behind and little therapy was needed to put her on track. My daughter progressed well and we mutually agreed there was no need to therapy after few months. The fees for at home service were also really affordable compared to other speech therapist I had contacted. There in office therapy is also very competitive and affordable. I would definitely recommend Developing hands.
