I've gotten headshots taken from other established photographers, and none have given me the results that Derek has, not even close. Fully recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Derek was always my "dream photographer" if I ever did a photoshoot One fall day I decided to take the plunge and book a shoot to encapsulate who I was at 29.
From start to finish the experience was professional, and completely tailored to my wishes. I sent him 10 photos of the ideas I wanted, and he was excited to spend the day with the vision.
The photos I received back of myself and my horses were photos I will cherish forever - but the memory of the day was equally as perfect. Derek made me feel completely at ease, he really just captured the essence of being natural and in the moment - exactly what I wanted. I was very nervous - as I have never posed for photos before, and it turned out it was completely the opposite of what I expected - and showed how in his own league he truly is. He spent two hours just being with us and slightly, kindly directing, but you could tell the entire time he had an exact eye for what he wanted.
I received the first photo within the next day! I was so amazed to see he was just as excited as me to see the final results. I received the rest over the course of the next week - and I even chose two more images I wanted to purchase from him because they were so great as well.
The photos and the experience I had with Derek Heisler were beyond my expectations. I would recommend him to anyone lucky enough to work with him - as I'm sure he will be a huge star photographer before we know it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am so happy with my experience with Derek! I had absolutely no experience and had no idea what I was doing walking into this. All I knew was that I absolutely LOVED his work and wanted to be a part of it! From the first conversation on the phone with him, I felt more comfortable and confident! He walked me through every little detail, and prepared me for the day fully, right down to my wardrobe choices. I arrived to the shoot feeling extremely nervous due to my inexperience, but it did not last long at all. Within the first 10 minutes I felt at ease, and he walked me through everything! He gave me so much direction that it was virtually impossible not to just enjoy the experience and just be myself. He is an extremely talented photographer and I am so happy with my shoot and with his work! I recommend him to anyone and everyone! He's simply the best! Thank you for everything Derek! I am exstatic!
