★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently enjoyed dinner here to celebrate our 20th anniversary. Absolutely fantastic. Deep Cove Chalet's location and old world charm make it an antidote to Victoria's pretentious hipster dining scene. It was refreshing to not feel rushed or cramped into a tiny table with a server who only wants to bring the cheque. Excellent service, eclectic old world decor and charm, liberal pour cocktails and excellent dishes (try the halibut if in season). We watched the sun set while enjoying a great pinot and conversation.

I was on a wait list for reservations fingers crossed it would be in my favour for my family and myself. As a restaurant owner myself and multiple business adventures I personally have, this is not how I would ever treat a local person. Sorry to make this public but not sorry at all really I hope this makes people think twice into making a reservation with you, FYI to the business owners, if someone cancels they unfortunately canceled. That should have been firmly responded towards them. Not tell someone yes come in and then all of a sudden hey no sorry can’t have you here. The reason why you didn’t allow me and my family into your establishment is because I have children. If you had a table of 4 adults this means you make more $ selling the liquor you offer. Because there is only 2 adults and 2 children you declined my requests. I am completely disgusted after I told you there will be 2 children and the pictures prove this. Right after I said 2 children 2 adults is when you said sorry to me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such a lovely evening. I have severe allergies and do not eat out because of cross contamination. They went above and beyond to ensure my meal was safe for me. Everything is gorgeous from the atmosphere to the details of the fine china and curated wine menu. The meal was delicious . Every bite was savoured. Thank you to the whole team of staff that make this spot five star. We will be back. Lastly a big thank you to Pierre for the wine it was such a lovely surprise.
