About Debt Medic
There are 2 main credit reporting agencies in Canada: Equifax & TransUnion. Each of them provides different services and options for free information as well as paid subscriptions.
We have found that there are 3rd party services that will provide you with FREE Credit Scores and Credit Reports for both of these services. You should set up your FREE accounts with these services to view and monitor your Credit Reports and Credit Scores on a regular basis.
Borrowell (Equifax)
With Borrowell your credit score is calculated by Equifax and is called the Equifax Risk Score 2.0 (ERS 2.0). Your score can range from 300 to 900.
You may also view your entire Equifax credit report from your account.
Credit Karma (TransUnion)
With Credit Karma your score is calculated by TransUnion using the CreditVision® model. It can range from 300 to 900.
You may also view your entire TransUnion credit report from your account.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You don't need them to file a consumer proposal for you. You just need an insolvency trustee. They make you think that they are doing a bunch of work on your behalf but really they are just paperpushers.
I paid them up frnt, got nothing going that was promised and then tried to upsell me to one of their financial services when I already have someone handling my pension. You don't need them. Just do some research in consumer proposals. Etc

On top of the credit card debt we already had, we took out a loan to help us move provinces. Once we got there, things went south and we found our monthly payments way more than we could financially handle. Everything was catching up to us at a rate quicker than we could take care of. My wife has always been a skeptic of "debt relief" or any business claiming they can help knock off some debt. I reached out to Debt Medic with a weary sense of optimism, "were they legit", "did I fall into a scam". But they are legit, and they were able to help me and my family knock off $13,000 in debt and packed it all into very affordable monthly payments. My family and I now rest easier knowing that we no longer have to think about our debt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was in debt and owed quite a bit. I tried credit counselling in the past but I was having a difficult time with the monthly payments, plus my other bills. I didn’t know what to do, it felt hopeless. I saw an advertisement for Debt Medic online and called immediately. Kevin explained everything to me and answered all of my questions. I decided I needed a Consumer Proposal. Kevin gave me a list of the documents I needed to send to him... Finally the day came and I had a meeting with the Trustee. Kevin attended the meeting as well to tell me what the Trustee will say and how the meeting will go. I appreciated him being there because I was very nervous...Thanks Kevin!
