Philosophical: I came across a youtube video where Tanya mentions Aristotle as her favorite philosopher. Being influenced by Aristotle myself, this stuck and made me think, this was truly a point in my life where reason and objectivity was required in loads. Practical: Among all the law firms I called on a weekend. Tanya was the only one who returned my call on a Sunday. But, I didn't anticipate how biased (against men) and subjective the whole social support system around family law is. That is where this firm's experience helped. Even though this has dragged on for so long. Recently, Maria pushed to settle the most important aspect of this case for me - the access and custody to my daughter. I do feel safer having Maria and Tanya representing me.

D	Devon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This law firm is nothing but crooks!!! Fraudulent billing is every single day they bill you in your worst period of time. They send blank emails and bill you for them. They send the wrong documents and bill you for it. They billed me 90+ hours in the first 15 days of hiring this law firm. Then they lost because of advice that was completely wrong I wanted 50/50 custody they made me go for sole custody then hours before the emergency trial said maybe we shouldn't. After I had already spent 30 000$ in 15 days. In less than 5 months I spent 80 000 if you question the billing they will kick you to the curb when I asked to talk about the billing Tanya threatened legal action against me for bringing up the fact that they over billed me for hours they did not even work. Do your self a favor and speak with any other family lawyer in the profession and they will tell you to stay way clear. When I was finally able to hire another lawyer they called him and spoke negatively about me making false claims.

No idea where to start or end with my experience. Retaining Ms Davies was a terrible decision. She spent zero time with me, other than the first meeting to sign engagement documents. She did not prepare me for what to expect, nor did she come prepared to case or settlement conferences. She did not familiarize herself with my file, even after over a year of 'representing' me. Appearances at conferences were not prepared for, leaving me to correct information in front of judges. She found a way to spend every penny I had & money I didn't have. I see other reviews of what it cost to retain her for me it was $80K in 15 months. I am still waiting for the proof of work for the final 22 hours billed over a few days in October 2019. Work I didn't even know she was doing and for which there was zero consultation on important steps for my divorce. At the time, sending me electronic files was not a priority for her. In the end, getting a divorce settlement was left to me. You are better self-representing than engaging this lawyer. Heed the negative comments. I did not believe them when I was looking for a lawyer, and found out the very hard way that the negative comments were accurate. I have no idea how, or why, she wins awards. Find another lawyer if you want one that will actually earn their fees & represent your interests.
