Awesome service, brought us out right at 6 a.m. as requested to a large hut. Plenty of room for 6 guys. Lots of minnows and the service guys come out to make sure you're doing okay throughout the day. There's a propane stove to heat the Hut and as a bonus you can use it to heat up your soup or coffee. Fully stocked bait shop as well in case you forget some things.

We had a poor experience with this operator. The bait fish he provided were tiny, the huts were surrounded with bore holes and piss stains, they clearly hadn't been moved in quite some time and were likely "skunked". The huts were in a strange site far from other operators' site where several people were catching large trout. We caught nothing. The operator then showed up unannounced two hours early and demanded on the spot that we pack and leave. My son, then just turned ten, still talks about how abrasive the owner/operator is.

Tried to book a hut for Feb 5. Sent email and left voice mail last weekend. No response. Sent another email on Monday asking why no reply and booked with another operator. Finally got a response from Andrew stating he dropped phone in water. Replied back to him stating I had already booked a hut for the 5th but would like to book one with him for Feb 27th. Four days later, still no response on this inquiry. Sent email cancelling request. Why would anybody want to deal with such an unprofessional company? Lots of other ice hut operators out there who actually want the business. Strongly recommend you do not use Dave,s Fish Huts.

Great place for fishing. Nice place for small but frequent catch. That keeps anglers interesting. Also good place for little ones too.

Staff seemed overly nice to the point they seemed sketchy. When we got there their prices were different from their website. Then they told us there was a crack on the ice so their bombardier couldn’t get out towards where their huts were. So we had to drive 3 kms to Sibalds point and wait for the bombardier there. After 20 mins of waiting we were finally picked up to go a 30 second drive to our huts. The huts were literally 100 meters from shore! The huts were dirty. We sat on 10 feet of water with so much garbage at the bottom. We saw literally 2 fish the whole time. We caught absolutely nothing! We left on our own and walked back to our car which was only a 5 min walk. This shows you they don’t care about their huts or where they are located on the ice. They just want your money!!! Do NOT use these guys at all!

I have have been ice fishing with all kinds of operators and I can tell you I feel that Dave's Fish Huts are by far the best experience I have had. Minnows are always in abundance unlike other operators who give you 12 for the day and then you have to purchase more. I wont lie I have been and not caught anything but I have also quota'd out and gone home with lots of fish. While no one can promise a fish on your line I feel that the team at Daves always does their best to put us on the fish. Their team is knowledgeable and will share techniques to help you catch and they will tell you what others have had luck with in terms of bait. I am always happy to go out with these guys and 9 times out of 10 I'm on the fish and happy to come back again!! Thanks Daves fish huts keep up the great work I hear you have some brand new huts out too cant wait to check those out next weekend!!

Went with Dave's last Sunday. Our first hut they brought us to was taking on was starting to take on water, had no bites, and freezing our feet. We asked for another hut, and they took us to another about 20 minutes later. The next hut was perfect! And the perch were biting really well! We also ran out of propane for the burners around noon, and the staff changed out our tank about 30 mins after we called. Between me and my dad, we caught about 50-60 perch that day, and kept 25 good ones. The bait minnows were free, and we were allowed to use the burners to cook. Instant noodles and hot coffee were a welcome treat. Just had to bring our own pot, and promise to collect all garbage - we did. Bring extra garbage bags, and a roll of toilet paper for the outhouse! Overall, I thought Dave's was a decent operation, and the service was okay for one runner helping about 20 or so huts during the day. The water was 11-12 feet deep, so you could see to the bottom. Fun to watch the fish you catch!
