The staff is lazy its pretty sad when its minus 10 outside and i have to put an 1 year old's boot and sock back on because the staff are to busy talking and not paying attention to the children poor kids foot was all red then there the children belongings issue shoes missing your stuck looking all over the hallways for your kids shoes for 10 minutes when you left them in the cubbyhole then they wonder why you don't have the extra time to the potty with your child and leave it up to them or when you pick up your child there winter hat and gloves are missing and there outside with no hat Or its sitting in the cubbyhole like why is my child not wearing his gear that I provided ? My son has been to other daycare and i have older kids that have been thru the daycare system this is one by far the worst

Dalhousie Parents Daycare is a quality daycare that uses the ELECT as a teaching reference and you can really see the difference it makes when all the educators have their E.C.E. credentials. The staff that work here are passionate about their jobs. It really shows with all the volunteering of extra hours that they put in to making the daycare so amazing and successful. Worried about one of the employees there. Background in criminal activity, and false charges. Not sure I would want my children in this place.

My child is in this facility and I most say that the service is good ,look very well organized and clean. The staff is loving and for the great majority do a great job. Meals are excellent nutritious and balance, and most important delicious. They have a good blend of senior and young staff. Thank you guys you do an awesome job!

This daycare is our happy place! Our son attended as an ex-micropreemie who had some ongoing health concerns and the staff rolled with him so easily and lovingly. He started JK this year and we were thrilled to get a spot there for our daughter as well this fall. Here’s the biggest sign that this daycare is as safe and solid a facility you could ask for - ask the teachers how long they have been there. For some, it’s decades. As stated in another review, there is a good mix of newer and more experienced staff, but especially in a field as notoriously underpaid and underappreciated as early childhood education the percentage of senior teachers who have been there from the start is notable. Happy caregivers make for happy kids, and this place feels like home - for the children, for their ECEs and for us parents as well.

My baby and I love this daycare! I feel totally comfortable leaving him in the care of his wonderful teachers. They do all kinds of activities and go on great adventures. Food is fresh and healthy and varied. Couldn't recommend enough!

Although it has been quite some time since my only child (daughter) attended Dalhousie Daycare, she absolutely adored it there! My daughter had severe expressive and receptive speech and language delays, so time and patience was a huge requirement despite all the work and various therapies we were (and had) been doing daily. After having abruptly been kicked out of another daycare (directly across the street) without any notice whatsoever simply because my daughter had some trouble communicating and "didn't fit in," I was at a loss and had absolutely no daycare or sitters lined up for childcare. Evidently, I had no choice but to stop working in order to care for my daughter on a daily basis. Dalhousie was my saving grace!! Despite my full disclosure about my daughter's speech and language delays, which were slowly improving over time, she was accepted without hesitation. The 'class' my daughter was in was run by a very caring, patient, understanding, and extremely dedicated woman named Kerry. To this day, I have never met another child care worker who was as knowledgeable, observant and genuinely caring for her group of children's wellbeing. Kerry went above and beyond her job duties every day, ensured my daughter was never left out, and even bought helpful learning toys, books, puzzles, etc. that were recommended to us by speech pathologists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and our family physician. I never expected, nor requested, that any of this even be considered. This was all done on the child care worker's own accord, on her own initiative, her own time, with her own money!! If that's not true care and dedication to the children, then I don't know what is! Many years later, and we still discuss the wonders of Kerry and Dalhousie Daycare as an iconic part of my daughter's childhood and development, as she no longer shows any signs of having speech and language delays whatsoever. She excels in all of her classes, is on the honour roll every year, and is planning to attend Algonquin College when she graduates to study and become a child and youth care worker. Full circle indeed - and this is why we still refer friends, family and neighbours to Dalhousie when we hear that they're in need and look for daycare!! :)
