M	Mark Gibbons on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately after not listening to a few contractors and random person in general conversation not to use this Survey company being honest when it comes to costs$$. I choose too as it was the original company that surveyed 18 months ago (purchased home 12 months ago). I needed and update, I called and spoke with James Dorland (owner), explained my situation and after some negotiations we agreed on 500.00 + HST to update my survey and filed with the government and city then which I e-transferred as requested. Survey was completed (great field guys). After 3 office meetings 2 which James was there explaining the delay on me receiving my new survey, I received another bill by email requesting balance of 500.00 + HST be paid immediately?! Obviously I thought there was a confusion, emailed back not to hear from any for 5 weeks with another request for payment! Went into the office and nobody was there to discuss this other than the secretary reading off emails and wasn’t informed at all other than this is your cost and you signed the addendum from Nick?? No explanation from Nick what it was other than sign and send back to file the survey! No problem, so I did... Originally James asked for a 1000.00 we agreed on 500.00 so being sneaky and dishonest he got his $1000.00... Hopefully this helps the next person to be a little more cautious if they decide to use this company... And Listen to your friends or people that have experienced the same! Thx

They completed an initial survey, elevation survey, worked through many iterations of the drawing to fit the house on the lot, and completed an as built drawing including drainage certification statements. DS Dorland field crew was fantastic. They were on time, courteous, and more than willing to answer questions. James Dorland and his team were excellent to work with on our project. They were always willing to answer questions and explain everything. I would definitely use D. S. Dorland Limited for a future project.
