She is beyond talented. The way she uses natural light and natural surroundings is amazingly beautiful and she makes me feel that way too when I’m in front of her lens. With photography, it seems extremely hard to know what you’re getting into, so I wanted a sure thing and—without naming names—went for one of the most highly rated and expensive photographers in Victoria. Unfortunately, I was baffled by and extremely disappointed with the results—none of the photos I received seemed usable. I honestly thought this must have something to do with me, being a novice at photo shoots, or having unrealistic standards—but my partner said they weirdly sucked too and encouraged me to try again. I am grateful to have found Danielle for my second try. If you’re looking for a photographer in Victoria, I beg of you, please save yourself from my mistakes and look no further. Her services were all around above and beyond—she was fun, professional, flexible and adaptive to my needs, able to collaborate on what I was looking for, and a crazy good communicator; she gave me all the directions I didn’t know I was looking for, and the photos turned out great. I even had professional hair and makeup included in the first shoot with the other photographer—I didn’t for Danielle’s and the photos were still infinitely better!

The first was a maternity shoot which she graciously hosted in her home of beautiful plant and wicker oasis! The second was a mama and baby shoot at Aylard farms, Sooke in July when the daises were in full bloom. Danielle gave me full access to her client wardrobe which is such a nice touch when you're not sure what to wear or dont want to buy something. Danielle has this unique energy, she is calm and intuitive, but also charming and funny. She makes you feel incredibly comfortable and beautiful. See effortlessly helps you navigate the photos (angles, facial expressions) and pays attention to all the small details. The photos I've received from Danielle are some of my most prized memories of such important times in my life. Let me just say I'm one of those people that hates having their picture taken, she made me feel so comfortable and dare I say beautiful too! She got photos of me which I love, very rare. One of the reasons I originally selected Danielle is because of the candid photos in her portfolio and she did not disappoint, we have the best photos of our family and friends interacting with one another and having a good time at our wedding. Something I didn't know at the time but realize now is that she's a romantic, which is such an important component and I think is why she does such a spectacular job at capturing love. Danielle is so pleasant to work with, she is very go with the flow, makes you feel comfortable infront of the camera, makes the experience effortless and so she is so nice. Our photographer cancelled on us a month before our wedding, a friend recommended Danielle and what a freaking god send!! We had a very short time to get to know her and hope our personalities get along and no doubt they did(if you don't get along with her you must be a bridezilla because she is lovely). We got our sneak peaks shortly after our wedding and the rest of our photos about 8 weeks later (our wedding was not peak season so I don't know if this is her normal turn around time).If your choosing between Danielle or another photographer just hire Danielle and move onto the next thing to plan, you won't be disappointed.

We live out of province so all of our communication was via facetime, texts, and emails. She was professional, easy going, and a pleasure to work with.
