My elderly mother has used D and K for years as have I. Always great service and have been very pleased. Apparently Enercare has bought them and sent somebody else and not from D and K. He went to my mother's and broke the igniter that she had replaced last year and now she has no heat. Hopefully they will fix it first thing in the morning but her expressed request for Josh from D and K was obviously ignored. Not a great start for Enercare.

Unfortunately the first customer service agent made an error in categorizing my repair which led to a significant delay. I also found that it takes much too long (20 - 30 mins) to be connected to an agent when you call - but this is typical of many businesses (if it were up to me I'd legislate wait times down to 5 mins). However, after contacting the company directly one of the engineers was able to resolve my issue in a very helpful manner.

Terrible service. Sent a “technician” who admitted he does mainly cleaning of furnaces to do a repair - he had no idea what to do, made several phone calls asking for help, spent 2 hrs here & charged us for a full service call, admitted he did not know what was wrong & suggested we get a second opinion! I emailed D&K about 2 weeks ago & have heard nothing back. Would never use the service again & certainly would not recommend them to anyone. We have another company coming in to check things out - will be anxious to see what they have to say!

Nearly impossible to get through on the phone, then you're relocated to I'm assuming a call centre, but it's people who I think are working from home as the background is full of chatter and dogs barking. When the technician did arrive he was here for 15 minutes said the problem was fixed charged me 260$ and immediately after my A/C no longer worked, I called for 4 days before finally getting through and was told I would still need to pay diagnosis and labor because it's only free 24h after a technician leaves if the problem still existed. I only used this company because the previous owners used them, but I won't ever go back to this company, so hard to deal with.

We have been without hot water for 8 days now. We rent our hot water heater from D&K /Enercare and I have been TRYING for over a week to get answers and we STILL have none. No replacement tank has been ordered, we’ve been lied to about visits (no shows and no parts or fixes). I’m not sure which part is worse the confusion about dealing with TWO companies for the same product. We’ve had FOUR visits out to the house with NOTHING accomplished (they also sent plumbers because they felt the issue was likely a plumbing one - another misstep given we KNOW the tank needs replacing because we’ve been told this by two different technicians) and here I sit 8 DAYS LATER with NO IDEA when I *might* have hot water again and no supervisor or manager to talk to because they “aren’t available” We have four children that have been without hot water for a week, two of my children have special needs and rely on bathes and bathing to calm down before bed - this has upended our life and following the proper channels has us NO CLOSER to any solution I would not recommend D&K or Enercare If a family of 6 can be left without hot water for 8 days professionally their job isn’t being done. I have no appointment for today (last night a technician was expected 4-8pm no call/no show so that was a waste) and not being allowed to “order replacement tank unless a technician CONFIRMS it’s needed” so apparently FOUR trips out here they can’t figure it out and I’m still left with no answers, no estimated time of restoration oh and the best part…. No refunds or credit for the MONTH I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR!! Stay away!! Save your money and stress - I wish I had!

Tech arrived to carry out installation - had no specs for work, no appropriate equipment. Left. Tried to contact company / salesperson and was shunted from call centre to call centre with no results. Cancelled contract and we are still awaiting refund due to us.

All D&K customers with an oil furnace no longer have a service contract, and won’t be able to get their furnace repaired. D&K was bought by Enercare, in January, Enercare called asking me if I would like to switch my maintenance over to them. I specifically asked if that would include oil furnaces, I was assured it did. On 28 Feb I received a contract letter detailing how to contact them for service, and then nothing else. I received a call from Enercare, 9 March, telling me that they don’t do oil furnaces, after talking to a CSR I was told I would receive an email (in 2-4 days) detailing, that because of the contract, I would still get oil furnace repair. Seven days later I called back asking where the email was and was told that Enercare cancelled the contract because they don’t do oil furnaces anymore, period, full stop, done. We had excellent service for almost 20 years on our oil furnace and A/C unit. Now, Enercare takes over they reduce the services they offer and fire techs. Well, D&K/Ener-don’t-care just cancelled all their oil furnace customers. Now, I hope that I can find someone in the area to repair my equipment, because I can’t afford to replace my oil furnace.
