We are looking for a new treasurer! If you’d like to help out the community and join our fun boards, here is the job descriptions:
–Crestwood Community League board Treasurer
Manage all financial aspects of CCL operations, including making bank deposits and paying vendor accounts, and providing a current budget for board approval;
– With the assistance of CCL’s (external) bookkeeper, provide monthly financial updates at board meetings and present year end financial statements at the annual general meeting of CCL in April/May for board approval;
– File or assist with the filing of various grant applications, returns and reports to government entities. These grant applications, returns and reports include the annual City of Edmonton community league operating grant application in May;
-File the annual not-for-profit society return sent to the Province in late summer;
-File the annual report of use of casino funds to AGLC.
Crestwood Community League Building Society board Treasurer
– and the charitable information return for the CCL Building Society to Canada Revenue Agency before the end of September.
CCL’s bookkeeper and various other board members assist with all these filings.
The approximate time commitment, in my experience, averages 3-4 hours/month (not including board meetings)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister-in-law has rented the community hall out for her kids birthday for 3 years now. It's a great alternative to hosting at your home. Unfortunately I can't comment on value since I'm not sure what the cost is however it's a nice clean hall with a better-than-average playground for the kids to rip around in. There's even grassy space for the older kids to kick around a soccer ball and whatnot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best outdoor ice in the city! This ice is always among the first to open in the fall, and very well maintained. Three surfaces, two are open at all times, and the large hockey surface with boards/nets is only open during the facility hours (difficult to find, but generally most of the time you’d want to go - Sundays they close at 5pm). Change facilities are great, heated, with a water fountain and bathroom. You have to pay to use it, so bring cash. Sticks/pucks allowed on two of the ice surfaces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was a perfect place for my 7 year old granddaughter to play and run off some energy. Very safe environment with the recycled rubber floor. We had a fun few hours here today and will most certainly be returning many more times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the playground! It has an amazing structure, with 3 slides, climbing wall, swings, and zip lines, is toddlers friendly with a little structure at the side, there’s a lots of threes, so it give the sense of forest in the middle of the city!
