L	Linda Derksen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Crafty Capers is a lovely little rubber stamping and paper crafting store in Nanaimo. The store has a wide variety of products from many different companies, lots of beautiful paper, ink, adhesives and of course STAMPS! It also has huge, bright, lovely classroom space for classes. If the owner, Victoria, does not have what you want in stock, most of the time she can order it in for you, and her prices are very reasonable. Check out their website or call the store to find out what classes are coming up. Classes are offered by a mix of local talent and well known paper crafters, and are always lots of fun.

Unfortunately the store was closing at 4:30 that day. I arrived at 4:27, hoping beyond hope I could make a quick purchase. The gal in the shop had already turned off some lights and cashed out, but she so very kindly turned the lights back on and let me make my quick purchase. I was back in my car at 4:32! Thanks for rescuing me from certain disaster, Crafty Capers! I was able to deliver a special Christmas gift later that day!

I ended up leaving without spending any money as she didn't even acknowledge me when I was trying to ask about some of the diecut machines. I figure that Amazon would have better service.

There are LOTS of demos going on all the time, great classes for cards, mixed media and techniques, and I love going for "coffee and a card" when I have the chance. The store is newly renovated so it bright and airy, lots of goodies on the shelves to see and/or purchase, and if you need inspiration for a project, just take a look at all the fun samples done by the stores amazing design team! The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and can assist you with all your crafting needs! Love shopping local, and the great prices here make that easy to do!

Victoria is the owner, she and her staff are great people to ask for help with ideas. They are very knowledgeable & helpful with many products. The store carries a wide variety of product lines-most recently 49th & Market. During these COVID times Crafty Capers has participated in many online classes which were great. Victoria does videos several mornings each week to tell of new products & sometimes does a demo. There are some excellent teachers for classes. The stores is much more than just a store to buy crafting supplies, it has become a place to make friends.
